Power Outage Safety-Net for your laptop

In California, we are subject to rolling blackouts during Fire Season. They can last from several hours to days.

I've invested in PowerBanks for every situation, from multiple backups for all of our mobile devices (phones & iPADs) and a CPAP machine. This was the final gap: finding a POWERBANK for my newer model MacBook Pro.

This unit is powerful (60000mAh). It has an AC outlet plus it comes with two USB slots for other devices. It also has a Type-C outlet which is the merging standard for charging and transferring data. I especially like the LED digital read-out on the front which lets me know the percentage of battery power remaining. I thought this unit was reasonably priced given that my CPAP PowerBank cost $299 for 80000mAh. I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought this because I work in multiple datacenters using a corporate laptop, and I am constantly running around dealing with issues in various sites. I am not always near a 120v outlet...in fact I am often not near any usable outlet. The corp laptop drains fast thanks to all the security software they have imaged it with, despite having a relatively new battery. I bought this power bank to put in my work backpack to be able to have some juice as I go.

Received this guy today (10/20/2020) and have begun testing it. It charged from 87% to 100% in about 20 minutes. When I plugged in my laptop (Dell Latitude 7390) to the AC outlet, the power bank drained FAST. Went from 100% to 89% in about 10 minutes. During that time, the laptop stayed powered on, at maximum power setting, and charged an additional 5%. Then I decided to test the charging with the laptop completely turned off. In ~10 minutes, the power bank discharged 5%, and the laptop charged 15%! It seems the claims of being able to charge a laptop roughly 3 times off this bank have at least some merit!

I don't know how much power my laptop draws from the wall while it's powered on, (power adapter is rated for 65w) but it pulls significantly more than if it were off and just charging. I have a relatively new battery in this thing and it still drains super quick, so with your laptop, your mileage will vary. Especially if you're using a personal laptop and don't have to worry about all the battery-sapping corporate security garbage like I have to.

I will do further testing on this once I get one of those wattage usage plugs.

Cooling seems robust. As I am lugging this thing around INSIDE a backpack (with an opening at the top for charging cables to exit the bag), this thing became slightly warm, at most...with a laptop and a One Plus 8 Pro charging off it at the same time. Tested this for about 20 minutes. The fan immediately comes on when the AC outlet is in use, but the unit never seems to overheat. I'm very glad cooling was taken into consideration here because excessive heat will definitely shorten the lifespan of the internals.

Other things: Unit is about 4lbs, it's kinda heavy but it's not bad. It seems very durable and built to last. LCD display is nice, not too bright and not too dim. Unit turns itself off once things connected to it have been fully charged. It is using modified Sine wave, unfortunately, instead of pure Sine wave. All research I have done on this leads me to conclude it's not too big of a deal, as nearly all modern devices are able to cope with that....however for $270, I think it's worth mentioning, maybe they could have gone with a better power delivery system.

I'll update this review at a later time with more information, especially if I have anything fry while connected to this, or any other crazy events happening.

Awesome power bank. Went all the way to the Philippines and didn’t even have to charge it once. While on the plane I used it to keep my iPhone XS Max and 12.9 inch iPad charged the whole time while watching movies on iPad and playing games on my iPhone. Never bought a power bank before and this is top of the line. Went through airport security in North Dakota, Denver Colorado, Hawaii, Guam, Manila Philippines, Davao city Philippines with it in a backpack and never got stopped and they knew what it was and couldn’t believe there was a 60000mah power bank out there. When the power went out in the Philippines I used it to charge my phone, iPad and the WiFi router until the power came back on. This would be an awesome product for travelers and search and rescue people.

I was searching for a big capacity portable charger and I finally got this one. Haven't heard of this brand before but they do have good products. Fast and juciy battery that my laptop can work all day (it also save my cellphone though. I can work at subway train, McDonald's, anywhere I'm going. I love the style and the black matt finish which fits my laptop. Most beautiful power bank I can found on the market. It comes with a case, maybe useful for traveling but I'd just put it in my backpack. The size is smaller than I expected. A little bit heavy but I am fine with it though. Planning to take it for camping this summer.

I don’t really ever do reviews but realized I always read them before buying anything and I love this battery so decided to write one. I use this battery when I go camping and backpacking. It’s small enough that I can Carry it in my backpack.this battery pack has a 110v outlet. It allows me to use items from my house that can just plug into the wall. I don’t have to buy special camping items like fans or radios or lamps. I just take them from my house and they work just fine. It saves me time and money. This really is a great value and must have for anyone in Florida for hurricanes or power outage etc..

Smell new, heavy, tanky battery capacity, smooth cover, able to charged an xps laptop (XPS 15 9500 and XPS 17 9700 with it’s AC outlet.) Haven’t really checked much for the capacity yet since it just got delivered to me.

This is a great product. My music studio is in a basement cave and I get FOMO for not being able to be in the Sun. I use this to continue to make music while I'm in the park or even typing emails for 6 to 7 hours without feelin' too drained from screen time. It has also saved me a bunch.
