The cons :
NO index, so specific recipes are difficult to find.
The same first 10 pages or so are contained in each of her books, so you pay for that over and over again if you buy more than one.
Not sure if the cost-vs-benefit ratio is good. IMO, ALL her books could have been condensed into one--WITH an index!--for half the price or less than all of her books purchased separately.
As a mom of a 7 year old this book has been a bonding experience. Every friday night we pick a recipe out of the book (some we have to plan ahead for like the cheesecakes that require soaking of nuts and freezing) and have a slumber party where we do fun activities and eat these amazing treats. It is important to me that she gets to have sweetness and richness.
The biggest hit so far was for my mother-in-law's birthday I made a mint chocolate mousse with macadamia nut crumble layered in wine glasses and it was a HUGE success! Everyone loved it and could not guess the amazing super healthy ingredient!
I highly recommend Kristen's recipes. Give it a try, even if you are not familiar with raw foodism, and see the results from replacing conventional desserts with these.
