Theories of HER – Revolutionary Poetry, Stories and Essays Celebrating Feminine Energy & Gender Identity
By her, for her, with her, because of HER – all themes we’ve heard touted before. But never before have these themes been collected and offered in one jaw-dropping anthology.
Theories of HER gives voice to the unheard and misunderstood.
This anthology serves as our time capsule.
Originally published as an artistic experiment in 2016...
What would happen if we put over 50 diverse voices in one book to celebrate what it means to be, love and champion HER?
The answer is: magic.
Since that time, much of the world has been shaken with questionable and often sexist U.S. leadership, the #metoo movement, a global pandemic and civil unrest.
Now in 2021, as we reconcile a new normal and a new future, works like Theories of HER have never been more necessary. It's at once artistic, entertaining, informative and deliciously nuanced and refreshingly topical.
Each piece of this anthology reveals layer after layer of what it is to be HER and to know HER and to champion HER.
Theories of HER contributors provided their words, art and most of all, their vulnerability. Hailing from all walks of life (and various gender identities and sexual orientations) to celebrate the divine feminine in its entirety. The good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful.
No matter the pronoun, he/she, they/their, he/him or non-binary, each artist and writer shared unabashedly in this unique literary explosion.
Hear their stories.
Shed a tear.
Raise your fist.
Swallow your pride.
Sip some tea.
Nod your head in agreement.
And embrace all the wonderful, magical, and hard realities of what it is to be broken, empowered, alive, hopeless, rejuvenated and fiercely connected.
