About the Author
Lewis Jackson grew up in Long Island, New York in the town of Bay Shore. It is here he developed a love for the beach, which his family visited often. He was introduced to running at an early age by his father, James Serling Jackson, and continued running throughout his life. He attended college at Old Westbury and went on to become a teacher. His love for writing began as a youth with his brother, Curtis Jackson, as they would collaborate on the creation of comic books. However, his spark for poetry was cultivated through love letters he wrote to his wife, Claire Domene, during their courtship.
