2nd album from New Zealand band: driving, 60s influenced indie psych/pop melodies with some
killer lo-fi-ish hooks and trippy guitar leads. Recalls bands like the Chills, Tall Dwarfs, Beach
Boys, Velvet Underground, Jesus & Mary Chain, the Clean, Luna.

That Jolly Green Giant, he sure pooped out a paradise down yonder, envisioned musically on this moist turd of joy. Don't let the band's stupid name fool you, or the ugly surf-shoppy album cover that is obviously the creation of some impish, sugar-stuffed, germ-riddled child at heart.

Make no mistake, this is not your ordinary hobbit safari, fellas and fellettes. Heck, you might want to pack your Burning Man wardrobe. (Hey, don't forget to pack your designer nose bones, Dumpster Muffin!!) BTW, I don't mind if you sniff your armpits, Tree Hugger Blaine, so you can stop trying to resist the urge. I like your manicure.

Now I suggest we all raise our glasses in a toast to ruthless, Obama-funded dictators staying true to their beards and birthmarks. And here's to all the newborns covered in hot, holy guilt. Here's to all the emptiness layered in rage, meaningless lava burning deep inside. Here's to all the monkeys exchanging bodily fluids like they're at the returns counter at a Wally Mart store.

There's a lot of shopping left to do before you die, Thumbelina!
