These scissors are fabulous!

I bought a garlic press made by Kuhn Rikon about a year and half ago. I was so impressed with the design and how well it worked and cleaned that when I was looking for scissors and saw these I bought them. At the same time I also purchased a $65 pair or scissors from Sur la Table made by Shun. They claim to open jars, crack walnuts cut through bones - you name it. These were so cheap I decided to get both and I have yet to use my Shun shears. These are great. My favorite thing is how you can easily pull them apart to wash them. I never hesitate to cut open poultry packages or anything since I know I can toss them in the dishwasher. I don't worry that after pulling them apart a hundred times they won't stay together because the "bolt" is made out of metal and won't wear down. They are also handy for opening all my Amazon boxes since they detach.
