This book is overrated.Yes it is good for a student,RN,PA.But not for an internist.It is too expensive in comparison to the medical data .The information it provides is not worthy all that money.It gives no new more than Harrison's Manual which is much cheaper and more concise.If you wanna a real internal medicine text so you still need Cecil or Harrison.One last thing don't believe that offer of free overnight shipping.They charged me the shipping and the book was in bad shape like it is used

Horribly misinformed sections

The "psychosomatic" is badly inaccurate, and the authors of that section have grossly misrepresented and cherry-picked the research regarding ME/CFS to support their own, disproven, pet theories. If the same low level of discernment is used by the editors for the content in the rest of this book, then it has no value whatsoever.

An excellent textbook for UK medical students. This is an International standard textbook and is world acclaimed and renowned. When I was a students 25 years ago it was in black and white but is now in glorious colour so it has real visual impact. This is one of the world's best medical textbooks and has been my personal favourite for over 25 years. I have 2 old copies at home and 2 new copies at the office for reference purposes and for visiting students.
