Don't waste your time swatching these paints on white paper. They are basically invisible. But on black paper they are gorgeous. If you truly enjoy the metallic/mica look, also try the bigger set of 24 by Gansai Tambi for even more fun. The only duplicate is the opal violet. I have both sets and love them all.

I hesitated for awhile in getting these because I know I am addicted to buying paints. However, I am just over the top happy that I did buy them. These 6 paints will probably out live me. They are stunning colors, excellent with watercolors, and so rich you only need a little bit on your brush. I made huge mistakes at first of putting too much on my brush. They are dynamic for landscape, cityscape, mountains, trees etc painting.
