Hold swab with the colored ring end up. Bend the colored ring tip gently to one side, until it snaps, to release the liquid inside. Wait for liquid to flow down into white tip. Apply directly to affected area.
This is my second order of these styptic swabs. Initally I was not sure how well they would work out but I would honestly take these over pencils or powder any day. With several pets and children these are extremely good to have on hand.
Pros: *Several swabs in a package. *Sanitary. Unlike the pencils you use a new clean swab each time. *Doesn't dry up and cake together like powdered styptic. *Comes in a hard plastic case. The case is small enough to fit in a small first aid kit and keeps the swabs from getting crushed. *Great for humans and pets.
I would never be without these swabs and as previously stated will not go back to the powder or pencil again. These have worked out very well for everything from paper cuts to cutting the rabbit, dog and bird nails too short. Also works great when the bird decides to take a chunk out of your hand!
I used to be able to get these at our local grocery store but they have stopped carrying them. This is better than the old chalk-like one that you wet. Great product for men and woman and shaving mishaps.
Just used for the first time the other day when i cut myaelf shaving. Bleeding stopped immediately. It stings a little bit but only for a second. Leaves no trace and has no scent. I was eager to get an opportunity to try these things out and they did not disappoint.
