Why do dogs feel like eating has to be a race? We have no idea, but we solved the problem anyway. Featuring meal-lengthening ridges and mazes, Fun Feeders keep pups engaged for up to 10x longer at chow time, which improves digestion while helping furry friends eat at a fun, healthy pace!
Available in 3 unique colors and designs, the Fun Feeder also features a slip-resistant base to prevent sliding and food spillage. Fun Feeders are top rack dishwasher safe, BPA, PVC & phthalate free, and available in mini (2 cups) and regular (4 cups) sizes.

Dog's Diary: Day 32
My hunger strike continues (while my captors are watching). I feign that I am too weak to eat and lie helpless beside my "phun bowl". They carelessly step over me, snickering about my demise.
Both bowls get the job done. I don't think that one design is particularly better than the other, but really just a visual preference for the human. However, since the teal bowl is smaller, more food is stacked, allowing for slightly larger intake for the dog (assuming your dog is large enough to consume large amounts of food at one time). The larger purple bowl has the food more spread out, which should take longer. I use "should" because the dog eating out of the purple bowl finishes sooner than the dog eating out of the teal bowl, but that's likely because she tends to enjoy eating more.
Both bowls have roughly 1 cup of dry dog food in them as seen in picture.
The teal bowl has raised non-skid detachable pieces, while the purple bowl has attached non-skid pieces. Since the teal bowl has already managed to lose 2 of those pieces, the large purple bowl wins in this category. (See pictures)
Overall, I think either choice would yield desired results. If you have a dog that needs to just slow down some, the small bowl would work. If you have a dog that practically inhales their food, they'd probably be better off with the larger bowl to spread the food out more.
This morning was the first try with the new bowl and five min later I am writing the review! We went from 1 minuet of scarfing down food to eating every drop and it took.... drum rolllllll...... THIRTEEN MINUTES!!!!
How amazing is that! We chose the pink one due to the design. He didn’t seem to mind the color. 😉
I think he may be getting another design for Christmas!
Note: I had ordered another slow feeder that claimed to hold four cups and slow his eating. It pictured a large dog on the packaging. I sent that one back as it slowed him to two minutes and there was barely room for two cups!
I searched again and found this one! Don’t settle for other feeders for your large dogs!
This feeder is the one you want!
I'd recommend this feeder to anyone that has issues with speed eaters! I will be purchasing another one for our second lab but just the smaller size.
- Wavy design helps slow down dogs by making it more challenging than other slow feeders
- Easy to clean, soap and water does the trick. Also looks to me dishwasher safe
- The dog I purchased this for is a male, I wish the feeder was offered in a different color than Purple.
- I wish the bottom of the dish was a little grippier, once the dogs start to get to the end of the dish, he's pushing it all over the floor to get the remaining pieces.

Definitely one to buy elsewhere and make sure you get the genuine article.
My dog(s) enjoys using this product, and I rotate it between my two with another slow feeder I have to keep it a bit different.
Not difficult to clean by hand, either. I use for kibble, but would be good as a water bowl, too, if needed.
We were concerned when we first got it that she may have struggled to get food out of some sections due to their depth, however this has never been an issue, it just gives her tongue a good workout!
I have tried several slow feeders in the past but this one is far the best
My French Bulldog normally takes 35 seconds to eat his dinner consisting of small biscuits but today with this new bowl took 17 minutes!!
He thought it was great fun too!
And best of all, this evening he hasn't farted once
SO VERY HAPPY!
