Plush Puppies by Kyjen
For plush play that keeps dogs occupied and reduces boredom!

The Intellibone provides exciting puzzle plush play for pooches! Like our Hide A Squirrel and IQube toys, the Intellibone works in reverse of a regular puzzle. Your dog removes the plush rings from the bone; then you put them back on. This toy provides an outlet for your dog's natural searching and stalking instincts, and helps to develop intelligence and problem-solving skills. The plush rings can be re-stuffed back around the bone over and over again for hours of fun!

  3. Dog takes the rings off; you stuff them back on

I was looking for a "puzzle" type toy and came across this. My dog enjoys playing with it and tries to get the rings off, but the results are mixed. The end of the bone is larger than the holes in the rings so it can be hard for him to yank the rings off. He'll usually just pull one or two off and then toss them around (he's silly) and also tries to play tug of war with the bone. He does get the idea of the toy but isn't always successful in getting the rings off, for reason noted. Overall though, he seems to enjoy it. Not sure if this was noted in the toy descrip. or not but some of the rings squeak while others have a "crunchy" noise when squeezed (sort of sounds like scrunching up cellophane).

I bought the I Qube II Cagey Cube, LargeI Cube Plush Puzzle - LargeIntelliBone Large for my 4 year-old Boxer. He is in LOVE with all 3 of these. He's not too agressive with his toys and has had these for a couple of months now. He really enjoys getting at the crinkly-sounding red ring. He also enjoys chasing the rings when I toss them. They are a great way for the 2 of us to play together especially with the cold outside. These toys are also FABULOUS at relieving boredom. I recommend these toys to all my friends with dogs. These toys are GREAT!!!!!

My dog loves challenges and has been playing with the hide-a-squirrel and iqube. She loves squeaky toys and this also makes a crinkly like sound. It is a little more challenging to remove the donut shaped rings from the bone, so it is something we do together. We play tug a war and one of us gets the bone and the other tugs the donut rings.

This fairly durable toy is a hit for my little dog and impressive to me as well. I've got a chewer who loves to remove the squeaker from all of her toys after a few days of play (or sooner if they are easy prey). This toy is actually tougher and safer than I thought it would be and has withstood her many attempts. She has triumphed in getting to the squeakers in the bone, so I removed it but the donuts are still fun and holding up.

If you have a dog that likes to tear toys apart, the quality will not hold up, however. One of my dogs likes to tear a hole in the seams of his stuffies and pull everything out, so I have purchased this toy more than once because my other dog LOVES puzzle toys and this is her 2nd favorite (Kyjen squirrels in a trunk is her fave) and she is very gentle with her stuffies. She'll pull the rings off, toss them around, bury them under blankets, and never gets bored.

My 4 month old Standard Schnauzer enjoys this toy very much. I started her off with just playing with one of the rings by itself. Then I started playing a little tug of war with a few of the rings on the center bone. I pull the ring almost all the way off and allow her to tug at it so she catches on to what the goal is. It is a bit tough to pull the rings off, but I'm sure that as she grows it will become easier. Her favorite part is the big blue bone. I love it b/c it's something we can play with together.

This "learning" toy provided much entertainment to both me and my dog. I loved watching her try to pull the rings off the toy and she loved tearing it up! Her pup cousin also had fun playing with it. My dog isn't too bright, so she never really got the hang of pulling the rings off the "bone." They were on there pretty tightly anyway, so that might have had something to do with her difficulty. Still, she loved it, and that's all I care about in the end. This was a fun toy and Kyjen always has great products.

I normally really like this brand, but this toy did not impress my pup. It's brightly colored, but not very durable. One of the yellow rings came with the seam not sewn all the way around and the white stuffing visible. My dog felt no incentive to pull the rings off. She liked it as a new stuffed toy, but not for the intended purpose. I see a number of problems with this toy.

The rings are kinda hard to pull off, so if a dog was interested in doing that, the material would easily rip, and the dog would easily remove the white stuffing in each ring (has squeaker in each ring)

A dog strong enough to pull the rings off would be larger, and this toy is too small for them to grab properly to get leverage, so it's played with as a new stuff toy, not a puzzle.

Lastly, even after showing my inquisitive, alert, playful 50lb. Golden/poodle mix that the rings come off a few times, she still did not see a reason to pull the rings off- to my surprise- I bought it thinking she would like the allowed "mischief" of her toy.

Overall, I do really like this plush puppies brand and seek it out, but this one didn't do it for my pup. I think I will try the hide a squirrel toy, I can see pulling the little things out of the tree bag more intriguing: I hope!

Hope this helps.
