These slippers are beautiful, use high quality materials, are well made, everything is great except for one thing: the stitches on the insole cut into my skin, which makes the slippers very uncomfortable. The number one rule of slippers should be to hide all the stitches. I just bought them, so I'm still hoping that they'll soften after a little use, but it's unlikely.
The understanding needed is that their fit evolves as they are worn.
I started with a pair of size 10s, my normal shoe size, they were way too small initially but gradually expanded to fit just fine.
After 8 years, they had worn enough to justify replacement, so I got a size 12, which fit well right off, even a little bit generously. Perhaps an 11.5 would have been just right.
So order at least 1 size up and you'll be well served.
EDIT: I have worn the slippers for only 4 months around the house. Never outside. They are ready for the trash heap. The exterior leather is still good but the interior soles have disintegrated. I am trying to have them replaced or refunded by the seller. If successful/unsuccessful I will update this review on how their customer service is. Stay tuned.
