Matte works best on mature eyelids

I like this set of eyeshadow. It is actually matte and not shimmering. Shimmering is a no-no on eyelids with wrinkles or the crepe like skin of mature women. So this is a definite thumbs up for a mature lady!

This eye shadow is exactly what I've been looking for! I'm 55 and frosted eye shadows accentuate my droopy eyelids and ever increasing wrinkles.The colors are very flattering. The matte colors look so much better and they last all day (I also wear primer). For the price, this kit just can't be beat. It's wonderful!

The pigment for the lighter shades is pretty disappointing, and by the time you get enough on for it to be noticeable, the powder cakes and cracks, some of which just falls down into your eyelashes. The colors are also all a bit cooler than I expected, if you're on the paler side like me you may end up looking like a sleep deprived zombie (which is what I already am and why I wear makeup in the first place!).

I ended up using this as a base because the colors have so little pigment that they don't show up at all without many many layers. Other than that, they don't seem to crease. They just don't do much at all!

I like the colors in this pallet and they last all day. I have such trouble finding matte eyeshadow these days so I was thrilled to find these. I just don't like sparkling eyeshadow which is all most lines are carrying these days. My only complaint is that you have to be careful putting it on the 2 darkest shades. I use them in crease and corner of eyes and they tend to be a little dusty and hard to control fine line.

I am pleased and amazed that this inexpensive product works so well. Having mature skin, I prefer matte eyeshadow and no glitter, sparkle or neon color. This selection of browns can be mixed to create whatever looks best. Slightly dampening an eyeshadow brush first is helpful. I use the darkest brown as an eyeliner and it is perfect! These seem to stay put pretty well on their own. However, after awhile everything smudges on me unless I use a finishing spray. Very happy with this and I intend to order more in case it is discontinued which happens WAY too often!!!
