I am Korean, and been looking for a good smoky eye palette that was actually SMOKY (most of the colors on the eye shadows I get are too light for my skin tone). I was hoping this would be it.The colors are amazing and some are darker than others (see photos below, - in this one I am wearing the silvery-blue color and the darker sparkly burgundy) but by the end of the day they are much lighter than when initially applied (I work in an office, sitting in front of a computer all day, so I'm not like outside sweating or anything). The black in particular looks more grey than black). I have also noticed that the colors tend to go on better when I use my other makeup brushes, rather than the one that came with this palette (I always end up with more on the sponge applicator end than on my eyes). Still working my way through all the other colors so I will see how the rest turn out...

LA Girl is a lower end makeup line so don’t expect quality like MAC or Urban Decay. However, combined with designer makeup LA Girl can rock! Especially their concealers! This eyeshadow is brightly colored. Was delivered in tact. Photo shows one application to my arm using the brush included in the brick. Would probably pop more with primer and more layers or wet application. You can even see a bit of the colors together on the purple streak as there was still blue on the brush. Looking forward to using!

If only the formula were better... Though the colors are beautiful in the pans, and the colors are pigmented, when applied to the skin they are chalky and when blended, the colors become muddy. I have had great luck with some of LA Girl products, such as eye pencils, lip liners, etc... but I can't recommend this one. I will be passing this on to the little girl next door to play dress-up with. Sadly, that is about all this is good for. I gave it 3 stars because it's not horrible for the price but you definitely get what you pay for.

In the pans the colors are very intense. Swatches were a little disappointing because they were a little powdery. They were very soft though. I used them with a primer with good results.

I'm not as impressed with this palette as their Nudes palette. The Nudes palette has pretty good pigmentation, this one is kind of hit or miss. Which I know, purple is a very hard color to get right with eye shadow, and don't get me wrong I can get a decent look out of this, i just feel like I have to work a lot harder to get there. And none of the shades are really matte, all are some form of a shimmer basically.

I like the colors, but they are not so pigmented, especially when applied with a brush. If you apply with your finger you get a better chance to have a more pigmented color, so I would say the palette is nice but difficult to get the most out of it.
