I had been wondering for quite a while if this stuff would work for my audio equipment. I have used their other products for fader cleaning and lubrication but in some small cases it left a few of my devices feeling a little gritty and not as smooth as before cleaning. I decided to take a chance on this stuff and used it on my Mackie 1402 and my Rane ttm56/57SL (cueing faders). It works really well if you're looking for a smooth glide for better precision control without the sometimes jerky motion that can happen after using some spray cleaners. One thing to know is to use it very sparingly which is a good thing because it should last for a long time. If you do end up using too much it can cause the fader to become stiffer than you might prefer and can even cause crackling in the audio signal. The good thing is you can correct this by using one of their other cleaning products (fader lube or DeoxIt) to flush it out so that you don't ruin the fader and then you can just reapply it. The challenging part is to get your hands on a good syringe that has an bend in it to get the lube in the correct location of the fader. Instructions are included but you might not need them. Highly recommended.

I bought this to help my faders in my Rane 56 and Rane 57 mixers. I usually just use normal rubbing alcohol to clean the rails and then I used DeoxIT FaderLube F5 to keep the rails smooth. I always wondered how some of my friends mixers were always smoother until I had to send in my 56 & 57 for repair. When they returned the mixers from Rane, the fader were super smooth like some of my friends. I went to the Rane webpage and it recommended using F5 first and then F100. F100 was the difference and now my mixers are just they way I want them. The F100 container shoots out short bursts of spray which is perfect for the amount needed on the faders. Great stuff and I highly recommend this for any scratch DJ.

I'm sure this stuff works great for lubricating pots and faders, but I wouldn't know, as it's all over my hands, pants and desk.
The squeeze tube is made of such flimsy, brittle plastic that the pressure needed to replace the cap is enough to snap the applicator tip right off the tube. In my case, that sent a good squirt of faderlube onto my hands and lap...

I would love to be able to write a review judging the quality of the actual product, but due to poor product container design I am unable to actually use the product. So this review is only for the product's container. This review is for the container for Deoxit FaderLube F100 Spray. I hadn't used it for awhile since ordering it and needed it today. The moment I first opened the cap I found a broken spray nozzle sitting in there waiting for me. I'm not certain it was broken before I opened the cap, but I was honestly shocked that simply opening the cap could possibly break the nozzle off. I don't think I opened the cap with much force at all. This is why I absolutely despise plastic. It tends to be used to make parts that are subject to stress. This inevitably leads to that part failing within unreasonable time frames and without being able to handle reasonable amounts of stress that can be expected with the normal use of that product. I'm willing to bet that if the shaft that connects the spray nozzle to the bottle had been made of metal I would not have this problem regardless of whether I opened the cap forcefully, or dropped the bottle on the ground from waist height onto the nozzle. Plastic will definitely break when it's as small as this product's shaft and nozzle head are. It just might survive if it's made out of metal. I would be more than happy to spend a little extra money on this product if it would guarantee that the shaft that broke on me was made out of metal instead of whatever kind of plastic they decided to use to make it. Here's a request to all manufacturer's. Please stop using plastic on parts that are subject to any amount of stress. It guarantees that your product will fail sooner than your customer wants to have to replace it.Read more ›

It's really hard to get into place inside a fader without an injector, but once you get it there it has great feel. Some resistance with a smooth glide.

This is what you want, but consider the injector applicator version if you don't want to be messing with toothpics or filling your own syringes. :)

Formerly called "CaiLube MCL" this is a great cleaner and lubricant for potentiometers. I have used this product several times when cleaning pots and rheostats and it has proven very effective. Please note, the tube you receive is very small, 2 mL in volume. However, this product will last a long while as you only need a small drop, applied with a toothpick, to cover the track of a single potentiometer. It won't run, and stays in place, no nasty odors. The tube's construction is a bit fragile and it's cap is weak, so it's best to keep this product stored in an upright position so it won't leak. Very satisfied with the results.

I bought this to fix my early 90's Pioneer stereo amplifier. The left and right concentric volume potentiometers were so noisy that getting both channels at the right volume had become impossible.

Using this product was easy. Open the case, quick blast of compressed air and a little drop of the lube and performance is restored! Still working fine a month or so later. I expect I will need to repeat in a year or two. Although the tube is tiny, I expect it will last me many years.
