Editorial Reviews

THE LADY OF THE LAKE starring Benita Hume, Percy Marmont, Lawson Butt and James Carew. Directed by James A. FitzPatrick. This short feature, based upon the immortal poem by Sir Walter Scott, presents a story of adventure and romance set in the Scottish Highlands. A Wonderful and very rare film of excellent quality. You won't find this on DVD anywhere else! Includes the original music score from the 1930 re-release.

CONQUEST OF THE POLE produced by Georges Méliès. Scientist from around the world gather to find a means to reach the North Pole. Professor Maboul's flying machine shows the most promise and he gathers a group together for the journey. During the expedition, our unfortunate explorers encounter a giant man-eating snow monster and have a painful experience with the magnetic pole itself. Mounted on an very impressive scale for its time, this film features generous helpings of Méliès trademark camera effects and outlandish humor. Original music score composed and performed by Matthew John Marshall.
