These headphones are the answer to almost all those complaints. They are bone conduction. The earbud looking piece rests comfortably on the cheekbone right in front of the ear canal. It vibrates and the bone conducts it to the eardrum. Your actual ears remain open. The rest fits nicely over the ear and across the back of the skull. What does it sound like? Simply it sounds good, although initially it sounds a bit different. My best description is that where traditional headphones sound exactly like what it is, a small speaker in your ear, the bone conduction sounds like it is coming from a nearby live source. Because your ears are open, there is ambient noise and someone who wants to talk to you can. Although the sound from the conduction is loud enough to drown out most. It is a directional thing. It sounds like it is coming from the room, not your ears. The first couple of times it is just different. By the third workout I loved it. It eventually feels like the house musak is your personal playlist with better fidelity.
The battery promise is something like 5 hours of play time. I've used it for a week of workouts (~5 hours) without recharging and it still has about 40% of the battery charge. The charger is a simple USB-C. And unlike traditional headphones where you have to mess with rubber covers to get something like a fit, these just rest comfortably such that you don't recognize they are there. The one odd thing is that for about 5 mins after you take them off, that bone spot they have been resting against will feel a bit numb, but it goes away quickly.

I ordered these after losing my Shokz Mini a few months ago. They sound clear, music isn’t “tinny” or lacking bass. I had zero issues connecting them to my phone.I will say that when I used them to make calls, I was told I sounded muddled/muffled. Another con is your music can be overheard by others if you have the volume up high. They’re a little big on my head, but I have a small head. I would say they’re the same size as the regular size Shokz.Overall, definitely worth trying if you’ve been wanting some bone conduction headphones but don’t want to spend a lot of money. 😊

I’m working on a project at work for a few months where I need to use headphones. I quickly learned that my headphones I already had were not comfortable for eight hour shifts. So I purchased these at the suggestion of my son who said they were quite comfortable and easy to use. He was definitely right. I saw some bone conduction headphones that were much more expensive than these, but these are working just fine for me. My only complaint, and this is minor, is that they could be louder. When researching, I learned that this was something common to this type of headphone, not a fault with this product in particular. All in all, they’re comfortable, connect to the Bluetooth devices with no problems, and do exactly what I need them to do. I am pleased.
