I was in the market for "Lead Like A Boss" and didn't even know it! Even though I've learned some of these ideals earlier in my business life, it was definitely necessary to re-learn about leadership for attorneys. In todays world this book is a must read. You will find yourself thumbing through it again and again to be reminded of important information.
I recommend "Lead Like A Boss" to all leaders, but especially those new in managment.
Thanks Tom Ziglar, Dr. Larry Iverson, Dr. Shelia Bethel, Laura Stack, Dawn Jones, Matt Youngquist, Kevin Parker, Allan Colman, Annette Brown and Jennifer Sedlock for a collaboration well done.
The "Lego consultant" to his boys quip was priceless.
And more than that, the book reveals an amazing interaction with a pastor who was thrown in jail by Hitler, but a simple and strong word from the guard -- who whispered into the man of God's ear that "The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe" -- provided the strength for his fear to dissipate.
This book is great for new leaders or those who want to reassess their leadership style and learn new techniques for leading their staff. I really enjoyed reading about great leaders such as Sir Richard Branson and Steve Jobs and what their philosophies were.
The section at the back of the book about time management was all common knowledge to me but I'm sure others would find it useful. This is probably one of the better management and leadership books I have read in a while, most other books only regurgitate the same information but this book has a lot of fresh content.
And one of chapter was about time management and It is very useful and great for my style.
Finally I highly recommend this for every one who like to success their future goal.
One of the last chapters was about time management. I was already pretty set in that aspect of being in a leader role, but it was nice to get a bit of refresher course in it.
Now, I feel like I have a bit of a head start with my job. I'm ready to put these chapters to use.
Anyone with the ambition to advance in their organization should read this. The authors provide you with the necessary information that will enable you to succeed in many leadership challenges.
Some of the information I've read before, but it's great to have it all in one collection.
