Delivered an international edition book whereas the product description and picture says otherwise
Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2020Verified Purchase
I was delivered an Indian edition whereas the product description and cover picture says otherwise. I do not have any problem with the Indian edition (except for a very poor paper quality). But I believe it should have been clearly called out in the product description. When I enquired about the same with their so-called customer care, I got a huge lecture on how they are doing a big favor on students by selling the $130 book for $20 odd (really? $130 ?) . I still did not get an answer on why the product description was misleading. Do yourself a favor, stick to sellers who are honest about their products.

The book itself is good, although there are definitely more modern and complete texts on machine learning. Most of the pseudo code and examples appear to be the same problems found in Russel and Norvig’s Artificial Intelligence text, I’d recommend that book over this one and you won’t have to deal with the poor quality printing this book suffers from.

The content is good for learning ML, although it can be better explained. The printing is not very good and a lot of pages are stuck at the bottom. Bad printing.
