Product Description
Discover the architectural secrets of Frank Lloyd Wright's Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. This accurately detailed LEGO model faithfully recreates the curves and distinctive lines that have made this building an architectural icon for the last half-century. The simple, grid-patterned facade of the annex tower complements the main building with its circular rotundas, while buildable exterior elements depict a section of New York City's 5th Avenue Museum Mile, complete with its signature yellow cabs. The Guggenheim sign, featuring Wright's architectural lettering, has also been recreated in a similar typeface to heighten the authenticity of the model.

Captures all the amazing shape of the original building, plus a good simple and elegant showing for the annex expansion (although warning: doing all of those %$^)(&! square tiles and trying to keep them all straight is frustrating).
Big for the Architecture series, hefty for a shelf-display size piece. If you can get it on sale (to get close to the 10-cents-per-piece sweet point), then snap it up. I might even suggest getting it at regular price, but... I'm a cheapo.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2018Beautiful set, between this and the new Shanghai set by far the most beautiful of the Lego Architecture series. A fun build and some interesting use of interior structure of it. A fun set to build and beautiful to display, I have it in my office at work. If you love legos and architecture buy this set!

This was a fun LEGO build - pretty quick and easy to do. It arrived in perfect condition and in a timely manner.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2017I would rate this 5 stars, by my set came with a fatal flaw. Unlike other architecture sets, which have the building name written on a tile around the base of the building, this one has "The Solomon R Guggenheim" and "Museum" printed onto two adjacent tiles, the latter of which is curved. In my set, the "Museum" tile was grossly misprinted and not only didn't align with the preceding tile, but some of its lettering broke the bounds of the tile itself. For something that only exists to be a chic display piece, this flaw really ruins it. Refer to the pictures I've attached to see for yourself. I've requested a replacement part from LEGO, but until it comes I have to dock it this point.
Otherwise this is a really great model, and an astonish improvement over the embarrassing original Guggenheim model. The build itself is really neat, and uses some legal but precarious techniques. Some of the smaller pieces of the ring sections will have a hard time staying in place until the whole roof is plopped on top of it. The admin building (?) in the sand color comes together in a satisfying way. They could have made it incredibly simple and dull, but it is instead broken into several sub-assemblies. The big challenge will be to align all of the 1x1 tiles to look okay. I admit that mine aren't 100% perfect!
In terms of size, this one is pretty big. See the attached picture for reference against several past and present Architecture models. Overall a very good addition to the collection (pending replacement tile)

Truly SiriusReviewed in Canada on January 15, 20185.0 out of 5 stars Quick and interesting to build.
Very fun to build and a beautiful display model. It is a change from the usual, angular lego architecture builds and it looks very nice displayed alongside other models. The booklet that accompanies the kit gives some interesting details about the architecture and history of the Guggenheim.

As always, LEGO makes another amazing product. My boys are taking construction at college and they love this series. This one is especially cool because we went together as a family.
