A Kid's Review on March 19, 2014
First off I need to get out that it is a BUILDING TOY. It doesn't have to be perfect. I hate how everyone is giving this set bad reviews just becauseof a small misprint or because it doesn't look very good. Sure, there are a few flaws but there are also a lot of very cool things about this set. For example, getting two AWESOME minifigure in this set are great. First, you get Lavertus. Lavertus is an exile lion. The lion head torso thing Is NOT A MISPRINT. It is there to show how he has been in the outlands and has mismatched clothes. He gets two maCHIguns that clip to the back of his plane. He is not unique to this set but it is the cheapest way of getting him. Next is Scutter. He is downright awesome. He looks like the kind of guy who doesn't care how strong someone else is. He comes with a sting hammer which looks great. This is the only set you can get him in which just adds to the greatness. Now for the actual build. The coolest thing about this set is the spinning blade feature. The blades don't get in the way of each other so you can just keep pushing down. It is a lot longer than I expected which I love. There is only room for one minifigure in the cockpit area. Although it may look weird, it is worth getting. I hope this review helped you decide on whether to get it or not. My advice, get it.

I purchased this as a gift for a 9 year old, and he loved it.

He was able to put the pieces together within the day, and enjoyed playing with he completed product. While playing, one of the pieces fell off. He was super disappointed and thought it was broken. Turns out, it could be easily fixed and put back together (but a bit annoying to have to do that since the end product is expected to withstand some light play).

Pros:
-Completed product looks awesome
-All the rage in 2015 with the kids
-Packaging is sleek, as Lego packaging normally is

Cons:
-Some of the parts easily pop off the completed product
-Legos on the ground hurt to step on

My son loves the scorpion character and the lion figure, but the twin blade aircraft leaves a little bit to be desired. It's missing any landing gear or wheels, so it's not to stable just sitting on the table. That said, my son really enjoys playing with it.

I got this as a Christmas present for my friend's 7 year old and he absolutely loved it! He started building it right away and only had to come up to the adults one time to get help with a part he made a mistake on. Other than that he and his friend assembled the whole set by themselves and enjoyed playing with it. If you have a kid who loves the Chima series, they'll adore this Lego set. The two mini-figurines that come with it are popular characters that provide for hours of imaginative play. Lastly, the Amazon price is great!

They may cost a little more, but my son has loved every Lego set that has ever been purchased. It's amazing watching him grow enough to put them together himself, with a great sense of accomplishment.
