Crazy expensive. It's gone up thirty since my mom bought it in April for 119. But we wanted a bigger set with lots of pieces ( My three oldest p!ay with the set ages 5, 4, 2) and we're planning on having it go through lots of grandkids. But honestly, It's one of the best purchases made for the kids, bc they play with it without fail for as long as we let them. She doesn't want to store a lot of toys at her house for them and I'm glad we found these at the beginning. We also got a big ikea train set with the trees and stations and the kids pick the legos 9/10 times.
We also got the four building boards, compat with duplo. And we're getting a set with 16 people, bc with three kids they're always fighting over the people included in this one. But I think as far as toys go, I feel good about it. It will get used.
I kind of wish we'd bought cheaper sets and mixed them up in a big bin for the kids, but I just had a hard time thinking of sets mixed up together. Totally go for it, if that makes more sense for you.
