I'm sure this will be a good enough addition to our duplo collection but this was the first thing that came up as a duplo stocking stuffer on Amazon and this box is comically big for that purpose. If this was the only item in there, sure, but don't let the low price fool you into thinking this is a stocking stuffer. The box is a little bit smaller than a shoebox.

I bought these for one of my nieces for Christmas. You know how Christmas is, everything seems to become a blur and you're not really sure if they like anything they got. Well, these stopped her in her tracks. she stopped and looked at them and took them out of the box. I admit, she didn't build with them immediately, but after she had opened all of her presents, these were the first thing she played with. She built the little animals and they "helped" her play with her other presents. I call that a winner. Yes, I know I'm reviewing this in July, but I just remembered them because she brought them to my house to play with the other day, which means she still likes them!

I’d guess that by the time a kid can pull them apart and put the animals together correctly they will be too old to care. We got rid of them and got Mega Bloks, which my kids both love. Stick with the classics.
