Took my kids to Legoland for a joint birthday. They got sick and we had to leave halfway through the day, sad times for all. To make up for it, I purchased this $260 table. Everyone was stoked until it showed up....
Packaging: was garbage, looked like it had been taped together more than a couple of times. When assembling, I noticed several very poorly done facotry "repairs", where someone shoved bondo into cracks/dents then covered up with nail polish(let's hope it is nail polish and not lead paint). These were protected areas(not damaged during transport), so they were from poor quality control in the Chinese factory.
Assembly: I just redesigned 3 rooms and have been putting together Ikea furniture the entire weekend. The quality on this is much lower than Ikea. Assembly instructions were good, but parts were cut to the wrong sizes, holes were drilled 1/4" off of where they were supposed to be(easy to fix with a drill if that's your thing, but you shouldn't need to break out the power tools on a kids play table). Approx 2 hours total time including extra drilling/cutting work.
After assembly was complete, my children (2&4) showed me SCRATCHES and CUTS on their thighs, which led me to the worst problem: the seats were also split when they arrived. I have attempted to fill the cracks myself, which seems to have fixed the problem(looks ugly, but no more bleeding kids).
Getting ready to reach out to customer service and attempt to resolve. Wish me luck!
