This is not a toy. This is a showpiece. The finished LEGO is fragile in places, and meant to be looked at, not manipulated. At times it took brute strength to snap pieces together. My fingertips are tenderized. Many of the pieces are tiny. The instructions are complex, often with many pieces and multiple steps per page. Often the view rotates or is partially hidden, relying upon intuition to understand where to put the next piece. This LEGO is not for young children.
This LEGO is magnificent. It took me two hours to complete. It looks incredible next to my LEGO Saturn V and LEGO Lunar Module.

Overall a fun build and a superb final product to accompany the Saturn V rocket. A short to medium build time (half a day or less) with detail being the goal instead of the number of pieces. As a space enthusiast, the International Space Station has always drawn my interest and this model proved to synergize with that interest. The final product is a perfect shelf filler/décor for a room and the solar panels being fully adjustable help it fit in where ever that may be.
That being said, if you like challenging and satisfying builds along with space, I think you'll get more bang for your buck with the Saturn V rocket. That would be my only recommendation, otherwise I'm completely satisfied with the purchase and am looking at the full scale lunar module/hoping Lego continues bringing out space models!

Have to brag. Our 6 YO grandson put it together in about 5 hours by following the picto-instructions. He is a space nut and he loves and studies anything to do with space. Only negative was the price. I bought it for about $68 in early November. For some unknown reason, Amazon cancelled the order, and by then, the price had gone up to $109. Called and they gave me a credit to spend, but it was a bit of a fight to get it.

It looks amazing when finished! The instructions were very on point, I didnt have any difficulty at all. There were maybe 2 steps that you had to use guess work in exact placement but nothing major.
As with most lego kits I got extra parts and in this case an extra minifig!
If you enjoy display lego this one wont disappoint!!
