Okay, I've had my PS Vita since day one. I've pretty much played every single Vita game to date, and I've always felt that the Lego games were just a cheap cash in on the series. They've been just a terrible port of the console version. Well this one felt different, after all there is no console version to port it from. It's 100% a portable made Lego game. There is no fuzziness in the cutscenes, they're all crystal clear. The only downfall I have with it, is that when the characters are speaking in-game, the mouths don't move and they look pixelated. But it really doesn't affect the game at all. It has all you'd come to expect from a Lego game, much better than the previous titles. All the collectibles and everything just like we've all come to love.
Being one that has never even heard of The Legends of Chima, I quite enjoyed this game. I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys Lego games!

Let me start by saying that I have always been a big fan of the LEGO games and franchise in general. I grew up with LEGO and I guess you could say I'm a big kid. LEGO games are not just for children, and just because you're a child or have a child doesn't mean they'll like the game (as with any product). BUT if you've liked (or know someone who has!) the previous LEGO games and own them for any of your consoles, then you should definitely add this one to your collection!

I have most of the different LEGO games, many on PS3 and PS Vita. A lot of the Vita games are straight ports from the Nintendo DS/PSP and yes, I too was unhappy with them being just "ports" and some not having open-world play like their PS3/PS4 counterparts (Some of them I purchased only because they were on sale). However, Laval's Journey is a breath of fresh air. You have tons of re-playability like any of the LEGO games and the characters are very likeable. You could purchase this for the 3DS or DS but personally I am a supporter of the Vita since release and have enjoyed this game immensely. This is also coming from someone who has never seen the series, but the story is cute and now I am planning on watching it/

The only negative is in the cutscenes where the mouths don't move, but it's not a big deal and the scenes are sharp and vivid. The colors are vibrant, you've got puzzles and some open-world content to explore. Like I said, tons of re-playability here. If you're a trophy fiend like I am, you've got plenty of those to enjoy too. Now that the price has dropped on Laval's Journey there is no reason LEGO fans shouldn't pick this title up.

Well I splurged since I had a giftcard and got this right away rather than waiting a month or two for half price. It's a decent value at $30, and a great value if you wait for $20 or under. After wrestling it away from my 7 year old, I managed to finish the story mode. This game is definitely enjoyable and has some decent challenges (had to ask the boy how to get past one part), but it does miss the mark on two things. There is no multi-player, and not once do you get to drive a Speedorz vehicle, or any other vehicle for that matter. After all the focus on the Speedorz with the LEGO sets, you'd think that you may just get to drive one in the game, huh? Well, don't count on it, unless I still have some surprises coming. Otherwise, it's great. The story is good (probably better than the actual show), a few levels are quite long (or I'm slow), and some of the cutscenes are cartoon quality. The other cutscenes use the videogame animation, so the minifigures' mouths don't move. That probably could've been better, but it didn't bother me too much, especially since the characters do actually speak! No "wah wah wah" like early LEGO games. I still have a lot of work to do in Free Play mode and there is also a decent open world element to it with additional things to find and challenges to complete. So if you're on the fence, I say go for it! My rating is a 4, and my boy's rating is a 5.

I have played every LEGO game on the xbox 360. This is a PS Vita only game, so I had to try it out. Though I know nothing of the Chima story or characters, it's a great addition for a portable LEGO game. Lots of re-playability as you unlock new characters and treasures. I finished the main game and still have not unlocked everything. Unlike most LEGO games that have walkthroughs available on every gaming site, this is a fairly new and underplayed title, so I'm forced to find the secrets on my own. Having a blast doing so. BTW if you do need a guide to get through a level, check on YouTube. LEGO fans, don't miss this one.

Also, since this is my first Vita LEGO game and was made for the Vita, I have no comparison for complaints of the other LEGO Vita games being very poor Nintendo DS ports. I'm avoiding the other ones because of the bad rep they are getting. Maybe I'll find a used copy somewhere just to see how bad it is. But for those not willing to buy another bad port LEGO game for the Vita, this is not the case. Try this one, you'll love it. Some of the character's abilities are too funny!

Let me start by saying im a hard core gamer , love playing video games . So why a Lego game , well I wanted to try them out , herd their cute and there's so many of them I wanted to see what the whole Lego fuss was about. Why the Chima game and on the Vita , well the Chima is a stand alone meaning its not from a movie or franchise , so I wanted the lego experience not the franchise , Vita because I wanted it on the go I didn't see myself playing a Lego game on my consol. Long story short I see whst the fuss is about its witty and funny , fun game , decent graphics and simple mechanics yet fun .
