He's big into Minecraft the game as well as the figures.
He loves building lego's so I figured this is a win win for him.
I ordered this shipped and sold through Amazon and paid less than $15.00. I feel this is a great pricepoint considering it is a lego set and it is minecraft based.
Includes 249 assorted LEGO pieces as well as 2 mini-figures with assorted accessories: Steve and a zombie, plus a spider
The set also features a waterfall, lava fall, coal, iron, redstone, gold and obsidian elements, plus TNT, torch and a ladder. Lot's of game play and building options for the littles.
They can build this set and play and also leave it on a shelf to display. Comes as seen in stock photo.
I purchased this item full price and was not compensated for my thoughts. I rely on product reviews just like others to help make my purchase decisions so I try each product very carefully before reviewing and always do my best to leave honest opinions and provide as much facts as possible based solely on my experience.
What I mean is that it's constructed with multiple odd configurations of pieces, assembled in random directions, and the whole thing does NOT really hold together well. It's almost impossible to hold it and put it together, and if you try to turn it over or don't hold it right, it blows apart into pieces again. It's hard to explain. Once together, you really can't pick it up and move it anywhere, because there's not enough pegs holding the whole thing together, especially the base.
They not only could have made this easier by having fewer, larger pieces, but they could overall constructed it better from an engineering standpoint.
For younger kids I actually like the MegaBlocks kits better, as they're easier to snap together for little hands.
In all seriousness, got this for the kids so they can experience the awesomeness of LEGO and hopefully have a desire to play Minecraft one day in the future.
