GOLDEN STAFF GUARDIANS is one of those perfect little $10.00 sets that have great mini-figs and accessories.

Fun for kids for the excellent designs of the mini-figs, a vehicle and good playability for such a small scene(Lot's you can do with this set and some imagination) while for the AFoL, you get the mini-figs to increase your Mummy armies, excellent accessories and a cool looking motorcycle.

The breakdown....

- The MOTORCYCLE in a beautiful rich red (similar body and frame like Mutt's 'Harley-esque' bike from Indiana Jones set 7196) w/double headlights, rear tail-light and clips in the rear for tools, weapons, etc. In this set, it holds a rifle and a stick of dynamite. Suggestion, attach a gray pistol to bike to act as a kick stand. Helps stand up bike better when Mac McLoud is fighting off those Mummy Warriors.

- New MAC MCLOUD mini-fig with pilot's helmet, goggles (an extra pair included), bruise graphic and stubble on face, all new torso with wife beater t-shirt, suspenders and blood stain graphics front and back. No graphics on legs.

- 2 MUMMY WARRIORS with the standard Pharaoh head-dress but this time the head-dress is all in black. Gives the Mummy Warriors a more menacing look and sets the tone as the main foot soldiers in the Mummy Army of the Undead! They are issued a khopesh 'sickle' sword and wonderfully designed scarab-shield each in dark pearl gray. Duel sided heads with one showing both eyes and teeth while the duel side has only a single red eye peeking through the bandages. Torso has all new mummy wrap and necklace graphics front and back. Graphics on front legs but not back.

- Small, mini diorama of a temple holding one of Pharaoh Amset Ra's precious/mystical artifacts, the GOLDEN STAFF.

One of the less-expensive sets in Lego's new Pharaoh's Quest line, the Golden Staff Guardians set is pretty much a minifigure set, as there's really not much else to build. The minifigures are wicked cool though. You get an adventurer (Mac McLoud, apparently) with a helmet, goggles, dynamite and a rifle, plus a pair of creepy-looking mummy warriors. They have pharaoh style headpieces, curved swords and shields shaped like scarab beetles, plus reversible heads. The other attraction is the motorcycle, which was what my son was most interested in.

Complexity - With just 70 pieces, this was an easy set to assemble. My 5-year old put together the minifigures and the motorcycle, and I built the platform that holds the staff. It probably took 15 minutes to assemble everything.

Playability - My son had a lot of fun with this set, particularly with the McLoud figure and motorcycle. It's easy to set up various adventures, and it didn't take much to incorporate these minifigures into his other Lego sets.

This is a great set overall, and makes an ideal (and inexpensive) introduction to the Pharaoh's Quest line. It's probably worth the retail price just for the two mummy warrior minifigures.

This is a fantastic Lego set for about $10. It has a beautiful red motorcycle (very old school style), a cool mini-fig (with helmets, googles, etc), 2 mummy warriors (with full Pharaoh head-dress and shields), a golden staff and more. This is a great set for young and old alike.

My grandson is having a great time with this toy. He loves legos and asks for new kits for birthdays and holidays. Highly recommended. Gets a childs imagination working instead of watching television.

...look no further than Pharaoh's Quest sets! Jake, Mac, Professor Hale and Helena are great substitutes for the hard-to-find Lego Indiana Jones sets. The Golden Staff Guardians set is a great value. It comes with 3 Minifigures, a motorcycle and a Golden Staff temple. It is a pretty easy build. My 7yr old son is very happy with this set.

The Pharoah's Quest arrived in time for Christmas which was important. It was package neatly. I would recommend this item although I expected it to be more involved than it was. I would recommend this for the younger child rather than the older.

My son wanted this lego kit for the longest time. Finally got it for him and he was ecstatic. Had it put together in less than 1/2 hour (was it worth the money? lol).

It's lego, what more needs to be said? Quality was great.
