I liked as well it has been a while that I wanted an engine like this in a Lego.
The car works exactly like the Lego movie and it is lots of fan, I can only use it when my son is sleeping ;)
Once he is true with it I am sure he will use it with something else.
He has a book for Lego creations with a lot of gears and elastic band that I believe he can adapt the constructions to use this motor and remote.

When buying a lego kit you expect that the parts you buy will easily and seamlessly work with all the other sets, this one does not. The motors are an odd length (5 spaces) rather than even, they have no ability to directly stick to blocks and they cannot be quickly used other than with other modern Technic sets. This same problem goes for the battery pack, so if you had hoped to use the motors to build anything else using 'regular' lego you're in for hours of frustration and flimsy work arounds. This set seemed to be purposely designed NOT to work with regular lego and frankly that sucks!
Also because it's built with the little 'pins' that Technic sets love, this set is incredibly flimsy. A small bump and the whole thing falls apart. Basically this set is a cash grab, poorly engineered and designed. Avoid!
The finished build works well on carpet but not on hard smooth floors. I have rubber Lego knobs that I put on the treads and it helps a bit with traction on hard floors. Drivability is ok except it pops wheelies when ever it accelerates from a resting position.
