The touchscreen on the first camera I purchased failed. So I sent it back for a refund and purchased a new TL2 (this one). This one's touch screen also fails to work. Sending it back.

I go through many cameras, and I feel like the Sonys and Panasonics have gotten way too complex in their menus and their choices. They took the idea of Apple's touch interface and making the dials a lot less complicated. When you get stuck trying to figure out your 'smart' camera, you end up missing the shot.

Colors and AF is awesome. Camera feels good, but I got the leather case to keep it pretty like I would do for an iPhone. It's as easy as using an iPhone and that's why I bought it. It's fast, beautiful, and it takes beautiful pictures. The problem is the price. I figure I'm investing in lenses, although they are made in Japan, and after airbags, steel, and Fukushima, I wonder about Japanese quality. Camera is German, which I like.

So far so good. I'll update as time passes,

After seeing pictures taken with it and noticing they had this emotionality to them, I decided to order this camera back in October.

I'm coming from a Sony a7R II and Canon 5DS R, which have great resolution but no emotionality at all. The TL2's pictures are so detailed, they have that full-frame sensor look to them, plus make me feel things!

Camera is very responsive. Menu system takes some getting used to, but it's all about getting used to the touchscreen gestures.

I used it with a Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary, since those lenses in my opinion have that Leica-ish rendition to them. Sigma lenses are my fave!

The JPG files look really nice (and I am not a JPEG guy at all), because they don't look overly processed or denoised by the camera's engine. However, the DNG files have so much adjustability.

I recommend this camera if you are a careful, patient shooter and do not care about owning the latest and greatest. It's a camera to slow down and enjoy the scene-capturing process.

Only con is that, even for me that have small hands for a man, it's not comfy to hold, since it's so thin. But it looks so good. Oh!

I had to return my TL2 because it seemed it wasn't brand new and had dirt in the sensor, and it came straight from Amazon, but will buy it again ASAP when the price returns to what I paid for it.
