My journal(s) live in a hand made, leather Travelers Notebook cover- I love the thing but it’s biggest fault it the lack of pen loop. The lack of loop was driving me mad- I kept loosing my pen.
So I got this, and it works well on the leather!
Pen pictured is the Zebra Sarasa Grand- it’s on the slimmer side, it fits well.

Note that I'm solely writing this review on my experience with using this with an Apple Pencil and nothing else.

Apple, being Apple, left out any good way to store their beautiful Apple Pencil, placing such a burden on their customers to keep track of it. I mean, how many times have you lost your pen? So, one could understand how excited I was to find such an easy solution like this!

I have a Zagg Slim Book iPad Pro keyboard case, which I totally recommend as it really is such a beautiful keyboard, and the setup with this pen loop was super easy. I decided to put it onto the keyboard portion of the case, on the right bottom side. All you have to do is peel the sticker back and place it on. The sticky surface is firm and square, so I was worried that because the case rounds out on the sides, this would be an issue, but it totally sticks firmly even though 1/10th of it is not necessary stuck flat on the case. Because of the added lift from the bottom of this case, the pencil is suspended nicely in the air, free from any harm.

The loop itself is of nice quality. It firmly holds the Apple Pencil, but at the same time, it can be inserted and removed with just one hand. The only negative with it is that there definitely is glue residue that initially gets on whatever you insert inside the loop. It got everywhere on the pencil, and I had to clean it off which wasn't the quickest process, but easy enough. However, after this happened one time, it cleared out all of the residue and I don't have this issue anymore.

And that's all folks. Like it says in the title, this sucker is literally perfect for the Apple Pencil, and I completely recommend this purchase.

Bought this to attached the stylus of my [[ASIN:B00L87JQMW Acer 15.6" Aspire Laptop 8GB 1TB | R7-572-6805 (Certified Refurbished)]] convertible laptop. This pen loop is the very same one offered for the Microsoft Surface 3.
My Aspire R7-572 laptop does not have a slot for the stylus and once the accessory arrived I had to decide where to stick it on the laptop. Due to the design of the convertible laptop which does regular laptop mode, rear presentation mode, tablet mode and closer to the keyboard mode. Placing the pen loop was not as simple as I thought. Placing it certain areas would stop the laptop from going into full tablet mode. Eventually I placed it in the spot that would not restrict the laptop in any of its modes but also accessible for quick use. (See images).
Overall I like this accessory. Time will tell if the sticky portion would stay on the laptop.
Currently I tested it on the following styluses.

Due to the rubber section at the tip of the stylus, it would not fit in the pen loop. It will fit if you insert the top part of the stylus into the pen loop.

This fits the pen loop.

Pen loop is too big for the stylus and too small for the Stylus holder.

It comes in black and red, wish it came in other colors.

The loop is useful for attaching an Apple Pencil 2 to a Smart Keyboard folio for the 2018 12.9” iPad Pro. The Pencil is way more secure than when attached with just the edge magnet; it’s not super tight but holds with normal use. It can be pushed out of the loop when crammed into a full backpack, but that’s the same as any other loop and can be avoided with reasonable care. I haven’t noticed any residue on the Pencil and it does not interfere with the keyboard/stand function or the iPad attaching to the cover.

I attached the loop to the inside back cover of the folio; the Pencil can still attach to the edge magnet for extra security and charging (see pics). The Pencil is a little off the magnet on one end but seems to work OK. The loop needs to be off-center and holding on about a third of the way toward the end so it doesn’t interfere with charging.

The loop adhesive is strong. Try out a couple of positions with the Pencil and iPad so you can make sure they both line up before peeling and sticking. Also, you want to make sure the loop angles in toward the iPad, so that the Pencil attaches to the magnetic edge instead of sticking out.

As far as value, there may be cheaper variants but I would just pay the $6 since I know this one works

Perfect fit for a Machine Era Stainless Steal pen. Had a leather smith reinforce the adhesion for longevity and increased durability. The plastic plate it sturdy and won’t easily fall out of a notebook. The elastic grip is tight, I don’t mind it in the long run.
