It is a good buy if you are conscious of what you are paying for. I had it for couple days now and mainly used to mirror my MacBook air so I have a bigger screen for videos and reading. Also, I use it as a second split screen when I write so I can have references on the screen and type my paper on my laptop. I have encountered the resolution problem as occasionally there are old PDF scan documents and it is unclear on this screen, but still readable on my Macbook, but I am aware of it so I don't need to be disappointed like others. Make sure to read those numbers before you buy:)

Recently, I started playing local multiplayer games (Tales of Berseria) with my wife on my computer. For us, it is much more convenient to play these kind of games using controllers, sitting a fair distance away from the computer just like one would do with multiplayer console games.

This was when I realized that my 20-inch monitor was too small. Her eyesight is good enough not to mind, but I found myself having to concentrate a little bit too hard to recognize small features on the map, and would frequently miss items and treasures. Playing these kind of games is supposed to be a relaxing experience for casuals like us!

At first, I was worried about the resolution of the 32-inch monitor. Would the pixels show up visibly when I'm sitting at my desk? Turns out, surprisingly, that it isn't a problem at normal viewing distance. Another worry I had was whether or not the monitor would be too large when I'm sitting at my desk. You can see the relative size of the monitor compared to the keyboard and mousepad in the picture -- it's probably the perfect size for me. And finally, it's very inexpensive compared to a 32-inch with higher resolution. I've spent a fair amount of time now up close and far away, and the viewing is comfortable in both cases.

Works well with MacBook Pro Retina (late 2013) and a DisplayPort to HDMI cable. Split screen works as advertised.
I installed an LED strip for bias lighting on the back, but the USB ports wouldn't power the lights. I just plugged them into an old iPhone charging cube and it works fine besides the lights do not go on/off with the monitor.

Would buy again and might buy two for the office

I use this with an HDMI cable connected to a Lenovo Flex-15. It works flawlessly. It sits on my desk and is far better than a similar hi-def TV option. The screen split software is a bit quirky but functions adequately, allowing me to divide the screen into various sub-screens. It is useful because the max/min icon allows the window to use the whole screen when needed and revert to it's sub-screen when needed.
Easy on my eyes, great resolution (an earlier concern vs the newer rez screens) and does not tax my PC video card.
The USB ports work great for my wireless mouse and although it's logical, for those like me- you have to connect the USB cable from your PC to the up-link in the monitor to activate the additional USB ports. I had initially thought they would work without being connected to my PC. So, its more a USB expander than an independent USB connection.

I would highly recommend this monitor. It is an incredible price for a ton of valuable real estate.

The screen was larger than I was expecting for the application I planned for it. But that's not going to detract from it's performance. 32" screen is sharp and clear. The matte finish has some reflection during parts of the day which can play havoc if your screen is predominantly dark colors/black. The displayport and HDMI is great. I don't really know/see differences between the computer and the Playstation.

I can easily have two pages of a PDF up and running at once and it's amazing to read.

Not a big fan of the mode/adjustment selector as a joystick at the bottom of the monitor. If you really want to get into playing with the adjustments, you will probably get a little bothered with the stick. I switch between a computer and a multimedia system, so i'll be using this pretty frequently; however, the price was right to bear with it.

My first monitor had a defective headphone jack. Made some horrible buzzing/clicking/feedback noise with multiple outputs (headphones, amps, etc.) Sent it back and waiting for my new one. Amazon's quick return policy has my replacement coming tomorrow.

I am not 100% satisfied with this monitor. I have used this for a month with my computer, and there is an annoying issue with using D-Sub connection. When I view MS Word or any other program that you can type, the letters appear colorized within a vertical zones/spaces on the screen when the font size gets small or zoom out to view the document. Also, the letters do not appear all sharp across the screen, so I try to correct this issue by changing the PHASE setting under DISPLAY Menu, but no luck. This change only relocates the problem to another zone. However, when I connect a computer through the HDMI port, this issue goes away. So, I am keeping the monitor and use only HDMI port. Other than this issue with D-Sub connection, I can view TV and tablets with this monitor just fine. I gave only 4 starts for not being perfect monitor, but the price was just right.

Bought two of these for the new 2016 macbook pro. Nice vibrant colors, absolutely a killer deal. People complain of being pixelated. Yes, only if your face is less than a foot from the screen. view from over 2 feet is excellent.

Nice display, better color than my Mac. Be aware that Amazon sells this monitor with a thunderbolt to HDMI converter as a bundle. I bought it with expectation that it had Thunderbolt input. It doesn't have a Thunderbolt input, but the converter works great and is about 1/4 the price of the Apple converter. The wording is clear, I was just in a hurry and didn't read it. I love the picture quality, it outdoes my MacBook Pro, which is saying a lot. Another thing I like is you just plug in any video cable wherever it will fit, and the monitor finds it. Dead simple.

I don't usually say awesome Got'a make an exception. Awesome. I am visually impaired, and need a huge super sharp monitor to have any chance of it being useful in combination with my screen magnification software (Zooomtext). I was using a 1080p HD Hanns-G 30" monitor that, from the beginning, seemed washed out a blurry. I had always chalked that up to over-sizing the monitor and lack of better resolution. So, when that monitor began to crap out, I bought a highly rated 28" 4K Samsung monitor. It was a little better, but not much, and was still in 1080p HD. I took my computer to my local PC tech with the intent of upgrading the video card. Something that would be compatible with 4K UHD. He assured me it would not make any difference, and that in his opinion the image was already very sharp. He said I was stuck with that because it was my Zoomtext software and not the resolution of the monitor, or the signal being sent by the computer. So, I figured I should return the expensive 4K UHD monitor, and look for the biggest 1080p HD monitor I could find at a reasonable price. I picked this LG 32MA68HY-P for it's more glossy screen which I know is better for my bad vision. Other factors were the great reviews, the price, the multitudes of connections, and the fact that the connections are easy to see and access being flush on the back of the monitor rather than the usual practice of upside down and vertical where you can't see them or get to them without being a contortionist. I also really like the onscreen control set up which is by far the easiest, most ergonomic, and intuitive I've ever seen. This monitor also has a setting for "weak color vision". Again, for someone with central vision blindness, my color vision stinks, and this setting does seem to help a little. Other low vision features include100 x 200 VESA mounting capability (so I can put it on a desk mount swingarm to get the screen right up to my nose), and blue reduction reader more (so far I have to found that to be useful). My one complaint so far? For some reason the visible portion of the screen stops 1/2" to 3/4" from the bezel, reducing the effective screen size from 31.5" diagonal to 29" diagonal. I sure hope this is just an adjustment issue that I can't find in the owner's manual. I otherwise love this monitor, and I'd be really disappointed to find out this problem is either normal or a defect requiring it to be returned.

Update. The problem with the "black border" turned out to be a corrupted video card in my computer. Solid 5 stars. Best monitor ever! Again, if you are visually impaired, seriously consider this monitor. I'll update again if I do have any problems.

okay, 5 stars.
Pros:
1. very nice looking, slim design.
2. not too heavy, the weight is about 14 lb. good for me, bcz I use dual screen holder to hold it on my desk. the limitation for each arm is about 19 lb.
3. affordable price compares to other monitor at this size.
4. VISE friendly. the screen itself supports 200mm x 100mm VISE hole, you still need a adapter plate to install the screen on regular 100mm x 100mm or 75mm x 75mm VISE system. Anyway, this might not be counted as a pro, but at least it's not bad compares to other slim monitors.
Cons:
1. BEWEAR of NO SPEAKERS inside the scree. There is a 3.5mm jack, optical port for audio relay. so you have to buy a external speaker to connect to the screen or your desktop.

Other thoughts:
1. the screen adjust button is right under the LG logo, at the bottom edge of the screen. It's a joystick style button. I was plan to install a sound bar underneath the screen, but that will block the button even though I can use OSD(on screen display) adjust the screen thru software. I don't want to do that.
2. I really wish there is a build-in speaker.
3. support regular VISE system, 100mm or 75mm. Or just add the converter plate into the optional accessory list.
