Not worth the price Tag. Below are main difference between HSB800 And HSB 730.I am factoring price in rating this product. No complaints on sound .

1 Noise cancellation: Though this headset got built in noise cancellation, but its not significant and doesnt justify the price. When playing music both headset performs equally. But when there is no music hsb800 handles noise better. But i dont think this is as good as full size headsets.
2 Design: Hsb 800 got some design changes. They have placed the volume buttons and forward buttons to the side of headset where as its on top of hsb 730. the size of buttons are very minimal and makes it difficult to find when not looking directly. So i prefer control buttons hsb 730. Once used to it ,i guess it doesnt make much difference among these two.
3 SOUND JBL Signature: I feel either there is no JBL signature on hsb 800 or it was already implemented on hsb 730. For me i didnt get any difference among these 2 headsets in regard to sound quality.
4 Price: I will buy this for the price of 69 but any thing more makes the upgrades insignificant. So i prefer hsb 730 for 40$ then 129 price of hsb 800.
5 Battery: there is no difference in battery consumption. Both headsets gives 10 hours play back.
6 Weight. May be this is lighter. but hsb 730 also never reminded me of weight. So even weight reduced but it may not makes any difference.

I originally purchased the HBS-730 to use while working out and loved it! Let me start by saying that I sweat a lot more than the average person, and prior to purchasing the HBS-730, I tried headsets by Jarba, Plantronics, Motorola, Phillips, and Jaybird; of all of those Bluetooth headsets, the LG was the only one that didn't stop working within 2 weeks. Not only has it held up for through around 2 years of abuse, but it still produces a sound quality far superior to any I observed with the competition. So when I discovered that LG released an "upgraded" model, I didn't think twice about giving it a try and passing my HBS-730 off to my girlfriend. Unfortunately, this was a huge mistake on my part.

The things that were good about the HBS-800 vs. the HBS-730 include: a slightly more appealing design, the blinking light that indicates the device is powered on is smaller and in a different location, and that the wires that connect to the earpiece didn't coil and tangle.

The things that were not any different about the HBS-800 vs. the HBS-730 include: the sound quality, the range that the headset can travel from my phone while maintaining a good connection, and the amount of background noise I could hear while wearing the device.

The things that were worse about the HBS-800 vs. the HBS-730 include:
1.) The microphone will occasionally just stop working mid-conversation.
2.) The buttons that control the volume, and that skip to the next song are much less user friendly.
3.) The magnetic area that houses the earpieces when they aren't being used is now found on the underside of the device, which makes it next to impossible to reinsert the earpieces after using the device without lifting it completely off your neck.

I bought these to replace a 2 yr old set of HBS-730's. I was pretty happy with the older HBS-730, and debated just buying another pair; specially as the older 730 is now half the original cost. I opted to spend about double, or what the 730 originally cost, on the newer HBS-800. The old 730 has a design flaw for the ear bud wires, which come out of the headsets perpendicular, placing a lot of stress on the wires. After 2 years the wires did break. The newer 800 has the wires come out parallel, which hopefully will have less stress. Additionally I felt that the 80 had several interesting extra features to justify the extra cost, such as: Google Voice Actions, Ambient Noise Cancellation, JBL audio, and relocated controls.

The wire locations do appear to be a much better design. However, that is about the only thing that really seems to a justification for the upgrade. There are no instructions on how to use the Google Voice Actions, or what phones are compatible. So I have yet to use this feature. I have a pair of Audio Technica headphones with Noise Cancellation that work amazing, but I have yet to find an environment where the Noise Cancellation makes a difference with the 800's. I knew that the JBL was probably a gimmick, and it appears to be so. I can't tell any difference in sound, compared to the older 730. The relocated buttons do help cut down on accidental hits from my chin or neck, specially when laying down. However, the side buttons are much harder to operate, specially the power button. The dial and start/stop buttons or still on the top, but might be slightly lower. So still not sure if 'chin dials' will be eliminated. Really wish the last number redial could be disabled, I never need this.

LG Tone Ultra arrived in a very nicely packaged box with a clear full size image of the headset on the front and detailed functional description with specifications and additional features on the back. I actually did appreciate the functional description since it served a purpose of a quick start guide. You might ask why would I need one while being quite familiar with HBS-730? HBS-800 was not just a refresh similar to 700 -> 730 but actually a redesign with some significant changes. You still get the same memory flex neck band design, earbuds magnetically attached to the end ports of the neck band, and individual controls for supported functions, but HBS-800 has been refined to the next level with an updated distinct look.

Starting with around-the-neck flex band, now it features a better defined body contoured fit where it stays put even while you move around. Don't expect it to be "glued" to your shoulders as you jump up and down or do decline bench press, but as you quickly turn to the side it moves more in sync with your body. The top has been uncluttered by moving volume buttons down the Call side of the band, and song transport buttons down the Audio Playback side of the band. For a diehard fans of HBS-700/730 these changes probably going to take a little bit of time to get used to, but I found them to be an improvement in ergonomics because now you can control these buttons with your thumbs. The next big visible change was Call and Audio Playback buttons. What used to be a round generic button with a blinking light, which I found to be distracting on a few occasions, now is a beautifully crafted buttons in a shape of a phone handset and play/pause symbols.
