The biggest difference between this model and the rest of the lineup, is that it does not have native support to decode Dolby Atmos sound. That means Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. streamed through the TVs internal apps will not support Dolby Atmos playback, and instead will default to Dolby Digital output, even if whatever show or movie you are watching has a Dolby Atmos track.
Does that mean that I have to forgo Dolby Atmos if I want this cheaper model? No. If you have a dedicated receiver and speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos, you will still be able to experience Dolby Atmos through external sources, such as Blu Ray players, PCs, etc. Only content that is played through the TVs apps will be without Atmos.
If you don't need Atmos playback through the TVs internal apps, or if you have no idea what Atmos even is, save yourself 300 dollars and buy this model over the B7/C7 models.
A few things not mentioned in the description. The stand on the TV is black plastic mated to a clearish plastic. Looks great! The border of the TV has a thin silver bezel around the screen. The back of the TV is white and silver.
it is definitely something to be witnessed. I've had this TV for about 3 months, there has been no burn in issues, no rogue pixels. The higher models just proclaim better sound, and frames pleasing to the eye. However, the panel is the same for each model. I don't rely on set sound anymore, I have a great Onkyo HTS-7800, which has my LG-UP970, my Xbox One S plugged in and the receiver goes directly to my tv. Sound isn't an issue and I highly recommend if you want object based sound, you have to get a system for it, and it really does make the picture seem so much better. when you have the sound to match the clarity of what you watching. oh man!!! Although it is an entry level OLED, its anything but entry level, it still looks sleek, performs brilliantly, and is a fair price for such a great great picture. I have it on a table mount which allows me to set my center speaker under the set.
I really wish I could explain it better, but if you haven't seen it on display I suggest to take a trip and check out an OLED tv. Right now I am currently in the market to by a C7 because of the price drop but if youre looking for an inexpensive OLED with the same picture quality as a Signature Series, the B7 is a great into the LG's OLED line up.
I won't get rid of my 3D plasma Panny, but this LG OLED 55" is in a league of it's own. Have this in my BR with the Bose Sound Bar, Bose wifi sub and rear speakers and it is decent set-up. Running thru ARC and 4K Apple TV,4K DirecTV, and 4K Firestick all look great. The Apple TV Dolby Vision is amazing and thankfully LG supports this technology!
The 480P you see on public TV looks awesome thru this panel and the 720P and 1080P programs are upscaled and look incredible. Of course 4k is out of this world when you can find that programming. Shame LG dropped the 3D from it's lineup as OLED is the perfect vehicle for that media.
i must stress that picture quality and clarity is amazing. i am watching some of the movies over and noticing details that i havent seen before.
(it has been only 1 week with this TV, i will update if anything changes)

The biggest problem with the TV is that it doesn't support HDR10 spec. It is only HDR. I didn't know about the difference until I had set up the TV already.Read more
