Overall TL/DR (Too Long, Didn't Read)
Its a beautiful TV. It is state of the art and honestly is the best available commercially sold TV. The picture is unrivaled and the Blacks aren't even comparable to other TV's. OLEDs I feel are here to stay and will only get cheaper in the future. Other reviewers here go a bit more in depth to the actual Technology in place so, I wanted to do a review where I highlight a few things I liked and did not like.
Pros
• The screen is SO THIN. The entire TV is incredibly attractive and futuristic. My roommate was afraid to even touch it because it just LOOKS expensive.
• The blacks - The blacks on this TV are so Dark, your TV will appear as if it was off. When scene switches happen and there is a black screen for a moment, you will sometimes think your TV turned off. (Happened to me, but then the incredible colors pop right back in)
• The colors - Red/Blue/Yellow colors are absolutely beautiful. Seriously, the primary colors absolutely SHINE on this TV more-so than any other TV I have ever seen. I was initially looking into this TV specifically because of the Blacks, but after viewing it, my goodness are the Colors the Main Attraction here - absolutely no doubt about it.
• WEB OS - A very clean UI that is pretty easy to learn. It's design is Okay, though not perfect. It works VERY quickly and switching between APPS is really fast and clean.
• The Software Set Up (apps and live TV+HDMI hookups) - This process was the easiest part of the set up. I was extremely happy to realize after turning on the power, within 5 minutes I was watching a 4k Movie on Netflix with absolutely no issues.
• Calibration (Settings like Contrast and Brightness and such) - This was a little bit of an issue. Mainly because I think I may need to look into this a bit further. For some reason, there were a few options "Greyed" out that I could not move/change for absolutely no reason that I could find. This seemed a bit silly as it should tell me why it was not selectable if I moused over it with my remote but, it doesn't. My Absolutely FAVORITE part of this feature is that you can select presets for EACH HDMI PORT! So that means, for HDMI 3 I can have Game Settings with TruMotion and such on, but have it off for HDMI 2 for Ultra Blu Ray 4k Movies, or whatever option I wanted. There is no need to continuously change it back and forth.
Cons
• This TV has the worst TV stand design. It doesn't lift the TV off the ground. The Stand has a little grove it sits in that is about the same depth in at the speakers so its sitting on my furniture and the speakers are touching the furniture with the stand. This seemed like such a S***ty stand because it should be LIFTING my TV off of the furniture by like an inch or half and inch, but it is NOT. I almost knocked it down an entire point for this reason. I chose not to because I will be wall mounting it in the future, but man, what a stupid design choice.
• There is absolutely NO easy way to handle this TV. You cannot grab it by the screen (it is INSANELY thin and you do not want to damage/smudge the screen) and there is no room at the bottom of the TV to slide your hands under and the stand does not lift the TV up, so you cannot slide your hands under the TV to lift. If you are setting this up yourself, be aware this might make things more difficult if you are not wall mounting the TV. (Also, I recommend to NOT TRY THIS SET UP ALONE!!!!)
• The price. My goodness, this price really isn't justifiable unless you just flat out have extra money. Let me be real, while this TV is absolutely gorgeous and it compared to other TVs set up at Best Buy blows them AWAY side by side, it is insanely expensive. Thankfully, I have a decent job and this is what I am passionate about, I made the decision to get it.
But, be prepared for bad quality control from LG. The first TV I got had audio issues, bad 3D crosstalk, and a dead pixel. Replacement came, and most of that was taken care of, but still has a dead pixel. (For the price of the television (and my OCD), that does bother me.)
An hour on the phone at customer service, including 33 minutes with a supervisor, resulted in LG TV requesting I send pictures of the BURN-IN. I sent 6 pictures. The result? QUOTE: "Sir, I sent to our Tech Department this is sever burn in and we will not be able to cover it."
NOTE: Customer service was very courteous & professional as the stuck the knife in my back.
I'm a 100% disabled Vet & this TV cost more than a full months income. Until the BURN-IN you can see how I felt about this TV by reading the review below. But based on my recent experience, I offer this EDITED REVIEW as a WARNING to anyone considering purchasing an LG TV.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
So far this OLED TV is everything my doctor bragged it would be. I hadn't heard of OLED (Organic LED) until my doctor & I were discussing it on one of my routine visits. Great picture! Looks so real even the old movies (in HD) come through extremely realistic. It took some getting used to for me. The picture is so realistic it made me a bit queasy at first to watch it. Imagine movies and other shows appearing so realistic you almost feel like you can reach in and touch the people on the screen. Also, the SOUND is outstanding. Yesterday I went to YOUTUBE and listened to a couple of hours of Golden Oldies from the 1960s. Great audio.
The 55" size turned out perfect for me.
This is the second LG TV I've purchased. I still have the other one - a 42" HD Smart TV which also has a great picture and sound.
One cool thing I failed to mention, but this TV has passive 3D, and comes with 2 sets of glasses. Seems to add some depth to non-3D PS4 games that I've tried as well as several non-3D tv shows and movies. Not too bad, but not a definite must either.
Also, I had a fit with one of the settings when hooking up my PS4 Pro which has HDR and 4K resolution on select games. I found that you have to enable the HDR setting on EACH HDMI input, separately. Other than that, this TV kicks some serious butt for pretty much everything I've thrown at it. It does a commendable job at up-sampling standard resolutions and some of the lower HD formats as well (480i/p, 720p, 1080p etc).
