VERY SWEET DEAL!

Finally settled on this phone after trying to decide between the Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro from Tracfone, bringing my own unlocked phone or this one. I chose the Fiesta because it has the latest version of Android AND the 13 megapixel camera. I upgraded from an LG Power which I was very happy with. I replace my phone every two years or so and this looked like a good fit for me. I'm a reasonably tech-smart grandmother who is not "tethered" to her phone and is pretty familiar with the Android operating system; I have had a Samsung tablet for several years. I know this phone is cheaper elsewhere but I had just added a year of service to my old phone online for $50 and I have a ton of minutes and data in my account. I usually activate a new phone with a phone call to Tracfone so I can be sure I don't lose minutes, etc. (I took a screen shot of my totals on the "My Account" app if I needed to prove what was in my phone.) This time I decided to throw caution to the winds and try activating the new phone online. I was totally impressed: it was a Piece of Cake! After entering the serial number and the sim number for the phone it took all of 2 minutes to transfer service to the new phone. I was amazed it went that fast; they tell you it can take up to two days! I turned the phone off and back on again as instructed and made my first phone call which went to Verizon... I got some mumbo-jumbo about getting a pin number or something. I hung up and made another call and this call went through to the person I was calling. I then opened the "My Account" app to see if the promotional package from Amazon had been added. There was a message on the screen that I needed to call Tracfone to complete the transaction. I called and spoke to a representative and she assured me that the "package" had been added. When I re-opened the "My Account" app I was amazed to see that what was added far exceeded what was listed as part of the promotion. Tracfone added an EXTRA 3 GB of data, 2400 minutes, and 2800 texts! This was all in addition to what was supposed to be included in the promotion. With the time I already had on my phone I won't be spending any money until November of 2019 unless I send out 7600 texts! I haven't been using the phone very many days, but so far I'm extremely satisfied with the way it works. Battery life is really good. I will edit this review if need be. A word about cases for this phone... I ordered the phone and a case from Amazon at the same time. The case fits fine but be aware that the two or three other phone models that use the same cases have a rectangular, not a round speaker so the case I received has an oblong opening for the speaker. It seems to work fine but there are cases that say they are ONLY for the Fiesta and those have a round opening. If that's something that will "bug" you, make sure you order a case made just for the Fiesta. Another reviewer mentioned that this phone only accepts a 32 GB sd card. That's not correct; you can put a 2T card in this phone.

If I was rating the phone by itself I would give it 5 stars. But to use this phone you need to go through Tracfone in order to activate it. They have the worst customer service. My phone was down for 4 days, don't know what happened. Called to talk to a rep and let him know that unless he had a quick fix (like being able to use an older phone with the Tracfone current plan, I was going to wait until I got back from my business trip to deal with the current phone. When I returned the phone appeared to be okay but needed a charge and I was due to purchase minutes. I had a huge account of excess minutes, text, and data that would be rolling over when I made my purchase. They did not roll over, all that showed was what I ordered the day before. After being transferred 9 times to various reps, not only did they not roll over my minutes but they deleted the ones I just purchased and made my phone number inactive. They told me I had to purchase a brand new plan. I was so disgusted I purchased another phone through Verizon and now have a plan through them. Could not bring over my phone number because Tracfone locked it up so that it could not be used. I have a business with a lot of things with that old number on it. Now I have to purchase all those items all over again with my new phone number. I am livid. They were so rude and told me I was not allowed to raise my voice. My reply was that don't you think I have a right to be upset when all I want is what I had: a phone that worked and with all the minutes I had accumulated over the years. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH TRACFONE AGAIN.

Nice Surprise LG Fiesta

It's been at least 4-5 years since I bought my last phone, I was ready for an upgrade. The first two things that struck me about this phone was 1 the large screen size and 2 the fast cpu, opening and closing apps very quickly. The 13MP camera is nice, and the 5MP front camera is another nice addition, both with flash. The LTE 4G internet is much faster than my old phone, but I try to use WiFi whenever possible. The additional phone card is a nice bonus. It was applied immediately apon activation. I added a 200mb micro SD card, and I love the FM radio on it. It's actually very good.

One complaint I have, is the WiFi is only B/G/N, not A/N or AC. I use 5ghz when the airway is congested. Other than that I don't have any other complaints with this phone and can highly recommend it. I have barely scratched the surface with it's features and want to start using the camera much more. It's nice to have a relatively decent camera on me at all times. For what I paid I was thinking I was going to be disappointed with it, but have been pleasantly surprised. I'm glad I didn't spend 5-700.00 for a different phone.

Upgraded from a Tracfone LG Ultimate II that was 2 years old. Huge improvement. Great 13MP camera takes excellent pictures, even indoors. Front facing (5MP) camera actually takes flattering shots, too - and I'm not exactly photogenic. Activation and transferring my number / minutes was a bit of a pain, but everything worked out fine in the end. My only "complaint" is that it's a bit heavy. But I wanted a bigger screen, so that's to be expected. I got used to the weight and size after a couple of weeks. Now my old Ultimate II, which I gave to my husband, feels too small! I'm super happy with this purchase.

I went from the LG Ultimate to this... My only complaint thus far is less customization and it's too big (for me) for the hand/pocket.
(Ex: phone text messaging is yellow, period. You can't change colors, nor text bubbles, nor background to the text convos.
Push notification bar is now white (used to be dark), can not be changed, so it's bright checking notifications at night.
You can no longer change the color of the keyboard.)

not sure why they would take away basic/simple customization
Works great, followed instructions online to transfer over my number and get it set up and activated.
