Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Network

The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network allows you to download photos, apps, and games in seconds and entire movies in minutes. LTE (or Long Term Evolution) provides significantly increased upload and download speeds over 3G networks, as well as significantly reduced latency (or lag time). Verizon Wireless expects 4G LTE average data rates to be 5-12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2-5 Mbps on the uplink in real-world, loaded network environments.

With these blazing fast speeds, you'll be able to stream HD movies without the annoyance of constant pauses to buffer the video stream--as well as quickly download HD-quality movies right to your phone in minutes. Additionally, you'll be able to download a new song file in about 4 seconds or upload a photo to your favorite social networking site in about 6 seconds.

The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE mobile broadband network will also redefine the mobile office for business users. Business applications that used to require wired networks will be untethered forever, allowing you maximized productivity and efficiency while you're out of the confines of your office. Enhanced security lets you tap into most VPN networks with less waiting, and faster responsiveness enables you to upload 10 MB presentations back to your team in less than 25 seconds.

In areas serviced only by 3G, you can expect download speeds of 600 Kbps to 1.4 Mbps and upload speeds of 500 to 800 Kbps in Mobile Broadband coverage area.

Verizon Wireless Services

Backup Assistant: This complimentary service automatically back up your mobile contacts to your online address book. If your phone is lost, stolen, or damaged, or you decide to upgrade, easily restore your saved address book to your new phone. You can also add, delete, edit, and print your contacts online and send the changes to your mobile phone. There are no subscription fees for the service.

VZ Navigator Capable: With this GPS-enabled phone, you'll be able to access the Verizon Wireless VZ Navigator service (additional charges applicable) for voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions, heads-up alerts, local search of nearly 14 million points of interest in the US (such as landmarks, restaurants and ATMs), and detailed color maps.

Visual Voice Mail: This innovative service enables you to delete, reply, and forward voice mail messages without having to listen to prior messages or voice instructions. Visual Voice Mail is the ideal tool for the busy mobile professional who may need to prioritize which messages he or she listens to first. Features include on-screen access to voice mail message status, save up to 40 messages for 40 days (or archive permanently), create up to 10 different caller ID-based greetings, and reply via call back, text or even voice mail.

Android IceCreamSanwich

Android Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System

The LG INTUITION runs the Android 4.0 operating system (dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich), which adds powerful new ways of communicating and sharing while improving on the best Android features: easy multitasking, rich notifications, customizable home screens, resizable widgets, and more.

Compatible with Google Wallet (view larger).

The Ice Cream Sandwich interface features an onscreen navigation bar that replaces the hardware buttons for Back, Home, and Menu found with older Android-powered phones. And with Google+ integration, you can video chat with groups of up to 9 friends as well as easily upload and share photos and videos. Other features include:

Face Unlock

You can now unlock your phone with just your face using the Face Unlock option. It takes advantage of the front-facing camera and state-of-the-art facial recognition technology to register a face during setup and then to recognize it again when unlocking the device. Just hold your phone in front of your face to unlock (or use a backup PIN).

And the lock screen now lets you do more without unlocking. From the slide lock screen, you can jump directly to the camera for a picture or pull down the notifications window to check for messages. When listening to music, you can even manage music tracks and see album art.

Home Screen Folders

Quickly access related apps right from the home screen by organizing apps and shortcuts into folders--just drag one app onto another to create a folder.

Multitasking

Multitasking is even easier and more visual in Android 4.0. The Recent Apps button lets you jump instantly from one task to another using the list in the System Bar. The list pops up to show thumbnail images of apps used recently--tapping a thumbnail switches to the app.

Voice Input

The new voice engine in Android 4.0 lets you dictate the text you want, for as long as you want, using the language you want. You can speak continuously for a prolonged time, even pausing for intervals if needed, and dictate punctuation to create correct sentences. As the voice input engine enters text, it underlines possible dictation errors in gray. After dictating, you can tap the underlined words to quickly replace them from a list of suggestions.

Near Field Communications

A short-range wireless technology similar to Bluetooth, Near Field Communication (or NFC) allows enabled devices to share information in close proximity. For example, you can "touch" or "swipe" an NFC tag that might be embedded in a poster, sticker, or advertisement, then act on the data read from the tag.

You can also utilize NFC for contactless payment via Google Wallet. Instead of using cash or swiping a credit card, just touch your phone to an NFC payment reader and have your purchase deducted automatically. Store virtual versions of credit, loyalty and gift cards securely in Google Wallet, as well as coupons and offers that can be redeemed when you make a payment. You can make payments at hundreds thousands of locations nationwide where MasterCard PayPass is accepted.

I'm not a heavy cell phone user or texter. But I do love my iPad, and often wished it had a built-in cell phone so I would only have to carry one device with me. When the Intuition was introduced, I thought I would give it a try (14 day trial). I'm now into week 3, and obviously will keep it.

As a cell phone, it does a passable job - calls are clear, etc. As a tablet, it is very good, in spite of the smaller (5") screen. And I love the 4:3 screen ratio because it is more "iPad-like" than the typical cell phone screen. Everything I do on my iPad I can do on my Intuition - web browsing, Kindle reading, calendar and task list synch, etc. And I love the flexibility of the Android operating system. It is so much fun downloading and trying free apps, then buying the ones that are good. Unlike IOS, where an app is only displayed as a button you click to launch, many Android apps are widgets, so you can see a small display of the app on your screen - on my home screen I have a weather widget showing the forecast for the next 3 days, a calendar that shows the next 4 appointments coming up, and a portion of my task list.

The width of the Intuition makes it not as easy to hold as a standard cell phone, and frequent cell users will find this a disadvantage. In my case, I wear bluetooth enabled hearing aids, so I never have to hold the Intuition up to my ear to use it as a cell. This device is very thin, and actually fits well in my pockets. I did buy a case that will stand the Intuition up for easy reading. Battery life is about 10 hours when used as a tablet connected to WiFi and Bluetooth with average use. Used strictly as a cell phone with infrequent use (no WiFi, Bluetooth), battery life might extend to 24 hours.

I have to start off by saying that I do believe I'm an Apple trader! I started with a palm for years, then I've been using an I phone for almost 2 years. After using this Android phone for one week, it's crystal clear how overpriced Apple phones really are.

I can do so much more with an Android hands down!

Ok, moving on to the Intuition. Yes, its like the size of a 4x6 photograph. Because it is so thin, I barely notice the weight difference with my I phone which does have a Mophie case.

I purchased a universal GPS dashboard mount which was a great $30.00 investment. It's perfect! Easy take in/out design.
If I have to walk into my office from my car, I just pick up the entire unit with phone in it, and place on my desk. Works perfect as a mount for home or office as well. Brand name: Accessory Power or Auto dash Mount (same brand).s

No more squinting to use the internet. Beautiful screen and pictures. It's perfect as a Kindle and it let's me buy books and read like my original Kindle. Reading my Kindle books so much nicer than on my I phone.

I have to give it 4.5 stars because it does not have an SD card micro on it and sometimes the speaker is difficult to hear out of. Still checking on this....

This phone has so many amazing options and flexibility I could write an entire essay.

For me, I have consolidated the following items using this phone...Kindle, Navigation system. My e-mail is a breeze to read and delete as well.

Low battery reviews??? I haven't noticed it but they sell a cigarette lighter USB attachment that is quite small. Easily can be charging while driving.

Feel free to contact me with any questions... acker19@yahoo.com

I love my LG intuition. I have 7 kids and almost all of them are in some sort of after school activities so I spend a good amount of my time out of my house. In addition to being a mom, I'm also in charge of fundraising and communications for the competitive dance group that 2 of my kids belong to so I'm constantly getting and sending emails related to that and having to be on web browsers or type up documents, etc. I can do all of this on my intuition. The battery life holds up pretty well even with my usage, it's about 7 hours before I need to think about plugging it in somewhere so I don't go below 30%.
It had all the good stuff android phones have plus a bigger screen than any and I can let my toddler play with things like toddler lock or learning Spanish If I want.
Not a phone for everyone, not the easiest thing to hold for a long time and doesn't fit easily in a pocket, but I'm willing to deal with all that for what it does give me...a mini handheld computer of sorts and the way it makes my busy life easier.

This phone came on time and as promised. I had to go to Verizon to get a SIM card (no charge). The phone updated to Jellybean which made me real happy. The phone is a keeper. My contract is up in April and if I renew I lose my unlimited data. So, for a $134.00 I believe I will keep it as long as I can.

This is a great phone. I have been craving a tablet for a while, and was seriously looking into purchasing a Verizon one with LTE capabilities. However, I hated the idea of having to carry around multiple devices. That was when I discovered this little gem.

Yes, it is huge, but after holding it for a while I honestly do not mind the size. In my opinion, the 4:3 aspect ratio is much better than the 16:9 one found on the Note 2. It seems more suitable for using the stylus to jot notes down because it is wider. The Note 2 is very long, and although it has a "big" screen, it doesn't feel like it is "good big" or "usable big" because of the vertical length. The Intuition's dual-core processor is more than capable of handling the skinned Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, and I anticipate that when it does upgrade to Jelly Bean it will be even smoother thanks to "project butter." Getting back to the screen, it does have an HD resolution of 1,024 x 768, so web pages, pictures and text looks beautiful. Because of the aspect ratio, this phone makes using the included Kindle book app enjoyable because pages are formatted in a more life-like size.

This "phablet" does not come without its quirks, however. For one, there is no place to store the stylus, so you have to clip it on your shirt or keep it in a pocket. There are cases available as well that include a place to put the stylus. This is not an issue for me because I do not really use the phone for taking notes, but I must say that the included note software is smooth and works well. There is even a dedicated button on top of the screen to capture screen shots that you can immediately write on with the stylus.
