for the most part its a good monitor. i do have about 2 or 3 stuck pixels. the only time I notice the pixels is when my monitor is on and the scren has a black blank screen. my only major problem with this screen is that if ur looking at the screen at a certain angle the darkness changes. u can tell when ur watching a movie on it and u move the player from the top of the screen to the bottom. it goes from dark to normal. so if the monitor isn't at eye level you will have to adjust the screen to face you as much as possible. its not a big deal since im never gonna really move my monitor that much and when im at my desk im always sitting down so the screen is always at eye level.
as for the base goes, its stiff so ive never had a problem with it. u can move the screen angle up pretty good but like the other poster said you can only angle it down a little.
