I have a 536 model in my living room and it shakes the place when watching an explosive type movie. I was so happy with that unit that when I needed something with a smaller footprint for the bedroom, I bypassed the other manufacturers and went straight to the LG models. I had previously owned a Sony home theater but the speakers felt lightweight, hollow and the sound was very cheap. I've had computer speakers put out better quality audio. I never thought I'd have that issue with LG once I bought the 536 because the speakers are heavy, high quality and sound fantastic.

The box was about 30 pounds which is similar to the 536 so I thought I made a very good purchase. After removing the speakers from the box though, they had that cheap, Sony-ish, hollow feel. I didn't worry about it since LG makes quality stuff but once it was hooked up it was like another planet compared to the living room speakers. The sound quality is just not that good. It sounds hollow. The subwoofer puts out literally nothing and it's working fine. If you put your ear to it, you can tell that it's working.

I have no patience to return this heavy item as the styrofoam all broke when I was removing it from the box and since it's in the bedroom it won't get as much use as the living room one does but I'm very disappointed in this. I realize the 536 was much higher in price, however, much of that price was because it has built in wireless and you can access just about every online streaming service that exists.

The volume is good. I find that having it at 10 while watching TV is plenty loud enough and at 15 for playing a game like Rock Band. It's okay but doesn't provide the immersive experience that the more expensive unit does.

I got this assuming the netcast content would be same as other LG devices (Netflix, MLB.tv, Vudu, Pandora,etc.). It has NOTHING useful (except maybe youtube) and software updates don't help. LG says this is "basic" model and does not contain the good apps.

DLNA does not work unless you put Nero on every computer. The other LG devices I have pick up all my network drives without having to put Nero on computers. And even with Nero, the LHB306 does not pick up the drives half the time.

Im have to keep this (because return shipping is too expensive) but ONLY use it as home theater. I will need to buy another device to stream media files and get useful online content. This thing is worthless other than playing DVD and being home theater. Unfortunately I mainly bought it for Netflix and MLB.tv and to stream movies from my network drives....none of which work.

I just recieved this item today and couldnt be more happy with it. Yes, it may not have netflix or any other stuff like that but it makes up for it with quality sound. The sound has done nothing else but impress me. It is so clear and so loud I feel like im at the movies! Also the blu ray player along with the 1080p converter for my regular dvds is excellent! Best picture i have from my dvds yet. Overall a really good steal for the price it sells. Specialy if your only looking for quality sound and great picture in a home theater system!!!

This is a great sound system. We got it for our new mounted TV in the club house for our Co-Op. It syncs automatically with out Panasonic TV and FiOS cable box so there was minimal setup. The residents love the new sound from the system and of course the picture from the blu-ray.

I really wish I could run the audio from my TV back into the system so I could get my video games and other content play in surround sound but this system does not offer that.

It would have been nice if it supported Wi-Fi but I had to run a cat5 cable to it in order to use the NetFlix and other apps on it. For a while I just played Netflix and youtube from my Smart TV since it had the apps there but it was annoying not being able to get the surround sound so I had to switch to using the apps on the Blu-ray player.

A lot of people said that this system couldn't put out that much sound but I have it in my basement and with it at only 25% output, my neighbors can hear it on their front porch and it vibrates things in my daughters bedroom on the 2nd floor. I think it would damage my ears if I ever put it up to 50% output so I don't know what people were complaining about.

My favorite part is that I've never even put batteries in the remote because my TV is an LG Smart 3D Television and the remote for that controls both devices just fine. If I manually turn on the Blu-ray player to insert a disc, the player automatically turns on the TV. If I hit the power button on my remote, both devices turn off at the same time. If I hit the Smart Link button on my remote, both devices turn on at the same time. Oh yeah, and when the Blu-ray player turns on, it is smart enough to switch the input on my LG TV to the HDMI input that it is on, I never have to select the input, even if my xBox is still on!!! And when I turn the player off, it switches the input back to the HDMI slot that my xBox is plugged into.
