through really stinks for audio and this system presents a much better solution.
It consumes 35 watts when on and 0.5 watts in the quiescent state.
Addendum: My roommate just got around to opening the package and found it was NOT new as advertised but was returned or refurbished or something, the remote came loose, had no batteries, the owner manual had the UPC cut out like someone had bought it for a rebate and then returned it.
So will probably still be a great sound bar BUT definitely a Fraudulent seller.
Seller did give partial refund, but it seems does this often(as in sells used items as new) , probably hoping people won't complain and just accept the used item.
This brings up problem #2. Resigned to using two remotes (one for Comcast and the LG LCD (High end) that it works off of), I put the batteries they provided in and started using it. Later that day, I went to change the volume and got nothing. It wouldn't change the volume at all. The remote also wouldn;t power it off. However, it was behaving as designed, so any time it detected a signal on the digital input, it turned itself back on. Therfore I could not change the volume and could not turn it off.
I put a second set of batteries in it, and within four or five hours had the exact same thing goign on again. Obviously, there is a battery drain going on in the remote.
My recommendation is do not buy unless you can get your hands on it and can return it if it does not meet your expectations. Now I need to try and deal with a vendor through Amazon.
