I've previously owned the HBS 730 and HBS 750 models of headphones and have based any positive/negative takes here on the comparison between the three models.
Pros:
-I really like the sleekness of this design, with the buds stored away in the neckpiece. None of these headsets are great fashion accessories, but these at least manage to avoid extra bulk. I've seen complaints about them falling out of place due to the design, but in 10 months of use that was a rare issue unless I was wearing extra layers of clothing that the headset could get trapped between.
-The design is also a plus if you tend to only wear one earbud at a time and don't want to pester anyone else in a quieter area with the noise from the unused earbud, it does a much better job of muffling any higher pitched noises from anything you're listening to.
Cons:
-The extra thin wires on these (at least compared to the 730 and 750) became a real annoyance over time. They had way more of a tendency to brush against the side of my face/ears when doing active work. I've lost track of the countless times I'd have to fumble with an earbud because of the wire twisting in on itself. I also won't go too deep into just how well the light touch of the wires mimic the feel of an insect that has landed/crawled onto the side of your head, but let's just say it isn't the greatest experience if you're working in a spider infested locale.
-After about 9 months of usage, the most common problem of these headsets struck, one of the earbuds is no longer working. I feel like I just about got my money's worth considering I wear these roughly 50 hours a week, but they still malfunctioned in about half the time the 730 or the 750 started to go out. I do my best to go easy on the wires and protect them from snagging and pulling, and if anything I'd babied these more than the previous versions I've owned.
All in all I really think it's a shame that LG just seems to be throwing new designs at the wall every iteration, rather than refining what works. I would probably still recommend these to anyone who wouldn't find the wires to be an annoyance, if you find the design itself appealing.
