Pros- Uses less water, so the dry time is shorter
Has a lot of wash options
Cons- When I wash my husbands work clothes that smell like grease and sweat, they come out after washing smelling like grease and sweat. I read a review at Home Depot that mentioned this, but hoped it was just a picky consumer. Sadly, not so much. I have noticed that many items (our new comforter, dog blankets, etc) have had the same problem. Nothing comes out smelling cleaner or any better than when it went in.
The wash tub makes a loud metal on metal clunking sound when it moves. The tube rocks side to side to gauge load size and when it washes. Sometimes it sounds like there is broken metal inside.
You can't use those downy freshner pellets (the kind you add to the washer pre-wash). The clothes never get wet enough to rinse it out, and the result is you will have them melted and stuck to everything in the load. This makes no sense to me, as it goes through a wash cycle and a spin cycle and they never wash or rinse off. To me, this says a lot about how well it cleans clothes.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend this set.Read more ›
Large Loads get very little water, and small loads get even less water.
Even heavy quilts, on Heavy Duty, do not get enough water to wash. (Customer Service told me this machine is not for doing "bulky" items???)
The only load that gets water is towels even if there is one towel, the machine fills up completely.
after chatting with customer service, the lady on the line tried to tell me it was the laundry soap that cleans not the WATER. Whatever,
no water means the laundry soap isn't going to work either.
Very frustrated, wish they had a buy back program, it's over my 30 days to return, thought I would just get used to a new way to wash, and figure it out
but find it's not worth messing with.
I use this machine to run 2-3 loads every week. Sometimes 2 load and sometimes 3, depending on my load. I haven't had any mold or odor problems and I haven't noticed any lack of water. If anything, I think it puts in more water than it should because the machine rotates the dry load to sense how big it is. Problem is that rotating the dry load makes the load higher in certain areas, which is why I think I get more water than needed.
As for how well the machine cleans, I don't have any complaints. My clothes come out clean.
There are 3 issues though:
(1) there is always water in the bleach reservoir, which is annoying. After reading a review, I think I know how to clean it out now.
(2) the agitating motion really twists your clothes toghether. It's a struggle getting the clothes out of the dryer because they are all tangled together. This means it's really heavy to take it out as one huge clump. Or, you have to really work at untangling items. I'm good about putting my stuff into washer bags so I haven't had any issues with knit items stretching out.
(3) Lint and other gunk collect along the top rim. I'm not sure how to clean that out because the tub clean cycle definitely doesn't do it.

Washer won't finsh a spin cycle, Goes UE or just keeps pumping water back in to try and rebalance. You live in the laundry room with this unit.Published 2 months ago by Wayne Brugger
I used to love doing laundry, LOL. I found it therapeutic. We bought this THING because of the capacity and the customer ratings (at Sears). Total garbage. Constantly unbalanced. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Pete

I hate this washer. You cannot wash anything heavier than a load of tee shirts without it becoming off balance. And it is not easy to rearrange a load of sopping wet bedding. Read morePublished 12 months ago by Molly Kessinger
