Most of the cycle lengths are a reasonable length of time, perhaps 45 minutes to an hour. There is a roughly 15 minute cycle that can be used to freshen up clothing. The steam cycle, though, takes a very long time - over 2 hours. It is worth it, but you can't be in a hurry when using it. I like to do that cycle first, since it takes longer than the dryer cycle requires.
Moral of the story: don't pay a dime extra for a color because it won't last. Not from LG. Other than that the washer has done what a washer should do with out any problems so far. C'mon LG, if you're gonna sell appliances in deep colors, pay a little more for better (tougher) coatings. I'd never buy another LG product again.
As an aside, last year I was looking at refrigerators at the Chicago area's largest appliance reseller. I was inspecting looking at the LGs and Samsungs when sales person came up to me. She told me that she had been selling appliances for 18 years now and would strongly advise against any Korean products. Her opinion was based on longevity and parts availability (this retailer also has a very large service business). Her top three (in order) were Fridgidaire, GE and Kitchen Aid. I personally am not sure about GE anymore since they sold to Haier. BTW her store sold all the brands. From Wolf to Haier. Anyway, even though the Korean brands have the hot, new IoT technology the cool factor really wouldn't be all that important to me if my fridge was down for three weeks due to parts availability.
In the interest of full disclosure I did not buy my washer/dryer from Amazon but I figure that these are the most widely read reviews on the net so....
Past review...A few months past the one year warrant and my $900 washer door doesn't always lock correctly and today (unrelated to the door) it filled my laundry room with about 4 inches deep of water from some leak from the bottom of the machine (not the hoses). The motor has a 10 year warranty. Built in obsolescence? This was not low end and I did my homework on supposed reliability. I....am.....not...happy. Please don't think that you get what you pay for because I paid an awful lot for this POS.

It has been about a year since purchase and the washer is still running like a champ. For a year the washer has been run on average about 4 days a week.Read more
