About the Author

L’auteur: Entre 1989 et 1998, Marie-Dominique Gauthier-Walter a occupé une charge d’assistante puis de maître-assistante à l’Université de Genève dans le domaine de l’art paléochrétien et médiéval. Au bénéfice d’une bourse du DAAD et d’une bourse de relève du FNS, elle a conduit ses recherches dans le domaine de l’iconographie vetero-testamentaire dans différentes capitales européennes, recherches qui ont déjà fait l’objet d’articles. Le présent ouvrage est sa thèse de doctorat soutenue à l’Université de Genève en Histoire de l’art paléochrétien et médiéval.
