About the Author
Dr. Chandra Wickramasinghe (along with his colleague astrophysicist Fred Hoyle) is the "father" of the field known today as "astrobiology." (Hoyle coined the term "The Big Bang" and developed the concept of the "steady state universe"). Dr. Wickramasinghe (along with Dr. Hoyle) has published major controversial discoveries on the origins of life; discoveries which indicate life on Earth came from other worlds and was deposited on this planet encased in stellar debris including comets. Building on his work with Dr. Hoyle, Dr. Wickramasinghe and Dr. Joseph have also published major discoveries on diseases from space and the genetic ancestry of life on this planet which extends backwards in time billions of years before Earth was formed.
Dr. Rudy Schild is a famed astrophysicist hailing from the Center for Astrophysics at the Harvard-Smithsonian. Dr. Schild is the Editor-in-Chief at the world famous Journal of Cosmology, and his discoveries include the existence of primordial super-planets. Dr. Schild has also determined that new planets do not form by accretion, but through cosmic collisions such that giant planets become smaller. The existence of super-sized planets including those several times the size of Jupiter, has now been confirmed by many scientists. Dr. Schild and Dr. Joseph also determined that our Earth may have begun as a super-Earth and became part of this newly forming solar system after ejection from a "parent star" prior to supernova. According to Dr. Joseph, microbial life may have survived deep within the Super-Earth after it was ejected.
Dr. Rhawn Joseph began his scientific career in the 1970s making major discoveries in biology and the neurosciences which triggered a paradigm-shift in scientific thought. Dr. Joseph's initial discoveries, published in prestigious scientific discoveries, included: the hormonal basis of sex differences; the role of the environment on learning, memory, intelligence, exploratory behavior and gene selection; and the effects of the environment on neuroplasticity and the ability of brain cells to grow and establish new connections. Dr. Joseph subsequently published numerous major discoveries in the neurosciences and evolutionary neurobiology. More recently, Dr. Joseph's peer reviewed, "ground breaking" scholarly research on the origins and evolution of life has been published by the prestigious peer reviewed Journal of Cosmology, and extensively analyzed and debated by scientists from around the world in published "open peer commentaries." Dr. Joseph has published best selling scholarly texts (e.g., Plenum, 1990, 1992, 1993, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, 1996), which received the highest praise by major scientific periodicals. His scholarly works have been featured on the cover of prestigious scientific journals and reprinted by major medical schools and universities including Harvard, and he has been invited to speak at prestigious universities including the University of California at Berkeley.
Choice Magazine has called his previous books: "Brilliant." "Joseph... is Sagan and Asimov."
Other Journals called his texts "Astounding! The best!"
"One of the most astonishing books of our time."-Bulletin of Science, Technology & Society.
