Yes yes yes...more of the same good stuff as in the first book...but we get a lot more in-depth coverage of what went on in the past when Jay and Lils' first really started their passionate love affair.
This book starts right where the first one ended...massive cliffhanger that left us wondering what happened and Jay in a real panic that his life would never be the same.
WARNING: If you have not read the first book don't read any further!
When Jay's worst fears are confirmed to be unfounded, he is determined to get his baby back safe and sound. He gives up a lot more than big money to the very shady Shade (perfect name for this creep) only to find out later that he is still not free from the threat and danger of the rival club's takeover attempts. Just when Jay and Lils' are about to get surprising news and hit a big milestone in their relationship, tragedy strikes again and what was most precious to Jay is no longer safe from harm.
The stakes keep getting higher, mysterious unknown threats literally walk straight through the gates of the compound and the entire club is on high alert. Someone or something is causing trouble for the MC and pretty much when all seems back to normal, we are left with the unsettling worry of possible danger in the form of a new romance.
I really appreciate how the author goes back and forth between NOW and THEN...you get the history of manwhore Jay as he sleeps his way through high school (not really "sleep" but you know what I mean), works hard to become a Prospect (with no help from his own father) and finally cements his future with Lils' when she turns 18 and graduates (their prom weekend was oh so sexy and sweet and just had me grinning through the whole thing). Jay's relationship with Tiny (Lils' brother) is also explored more in detail and we learn just how much like a real blood brother he is to Jay after all that they went through as young boys together.
Again, we get the message that although the MC brothers chose this life for themselves, their women and children often become casualties of war so to speak, and it was as enlightening as it was painful at times to read.
Looking forward to starting the next book since this one left SO many more interesting and unresolved loose ends to tie up and I really want to know who the hell Charlie is!!!

This book is a continuation of the first book and it picks right up where the other left off. Which is good and bad. The good is the story line goes on and is well told. Jay and Lil's are putting their lives back together after being apart for a long time. The MC club plays a huge role in this part of the story. So it continues.. now the bad. Unfortunately the editor did as poor a job editing this book as the first and the distractions just keep on coming. I can understand an occasional misspelled word, but there is a vast difference between the word lose and loose, and they are used frequently in both books incorrectly. Punctuation is wrong, numbers inserted in the middle of a word, ie: t0o, everything has an apostrophe s added to it. Its just so distracting that it totally took away from what would otherwise be a 5 star book. I'd love to edit for this author because I totally enjoyed her writing, just not the mistakes. The book finishes strong, happily and keeps the reality factor intact. I enjoyed the read. Not a cliffhanger, however there is another book that followed this one that I'm sure wraps up a few loose ends.

This book is just so good you can't stop thinking about it even when you go on to your next book. I found myself thinking back over this book time and time again remembering parts that really made me smile and parts that made me really think about how good things are in my life.
Tara Oakes writes with such thought put into every word that it reaches out to you. Not only do you find yourself wrapped up in the story of Jay and Lil, Tara introduces you to new characters that you will just love. This is such a complete work because it does not only deal with Jay and Lil but the dynamics between Jay and his dad, Jay and his club brothers and Lil and her club family. Tara tosses in twist that will keep you thinking what is going to happen next and can I live through the suspense.

Can you say whoops!!! I can't believe I forgot my review for book 2. But anyways.......we are picking up where we left off from one. Lil's is gone and Jay will do whatever it takes to get her back period. His father of course wants to handle this differently but Jay just can't do it his way. I loved that I got the POV's from Jay and Lil's. I'm stuck on these type of books. Even had a little bit from Charlie and Clink. There's no cliffy here but we have a book 3 coming! Jay is one hot Alpha male and is NOT afraid to go to the extreme for his Ole Lady and unborn child! And definitely not afraid nor ashamed to show his feelings. I won't lie I was left for wanting more Jay and Lil's!!!!! I can't wait for book 3 it just can't get here fast enough.

After the incredible cliff-hanger of book 1 in this series my expectations for this follow up story were very high.
Thank goodness when I threw my kindle after A 'Lil Less Broken it landed on a soft spot because otherwise I would have missed this wonderful sequel!
I don't want to say too much because the plot twists and turns flow one after the other. I did get to know Jay even better and through more flashbacks gained more understanding of what brought he and 'Lil together. I love these two and the loving, supportive and badass people that make up their family.
Thank you Tara for a non-kindle throwing ending this time but I'm so ready for book 3!

This series continues to get deeper into the story and relationship that is building between Lil' and Jay. This time we hear from Jay's perspective more and it gives us an idea of how much she really means to him. A new couple is introduced and I can't wait to see where the future will take Clint and Charlie. There are still unanswered questions as the book ends that makes you have to start the next book in the series. Love this author.

A LIL ' LESS LOST - BOOK 2 - 4 STARS
This book picks straight up from where the first finished and lets say Jay is not happy when he arrives home from club business, again with the first book this book also switches between the past and present and is mainly from Jays point of view.
Jay is all Alpha protects what's his and wont let anyone or anything stand in his way but you also see a softer side to him when he's with Lil's.
Lil's friend from college to comes to visit her and a turn of events end up with 1person killed and 1person kidnapped we also get introduced to Clink another member of the Kingsmen M.C and Charlie a girl who has her own story but we are yet to find out what.

Love Jay and Lil's

Tara drags us tright back Into the action after the ending of book 1, which by the way had me on the edge of my seat. This is just as fast paced and I loved how it is told mostly from Jay's POV. A new mysterious character is introduced into the group and it's obvious she's hiding something, can't wait for book 3.
