Fun 4K Digital Microscope Loaded with Features
Microscopes have come a long way since I was a kid growing up in the late 70s and 80s, back when I had an optical microscope and a large collection of slides. This digital 4K microscope blows away the microscope I had back then. It's much easier to view the subject with the 10.1" IPS screen versus looking through a tiny eyepiece. Especially now that I'm in my 50's and wear eyeglasses. The image is crisp and detailed with up to 1760X magnification, 8 levels of zoom for really getting up close. And for viewing on an even bigger display, there's the option to connect the microscope to a 4K display at 60fps via the HDMI 2.0 port. I hooked up the microscope to my 48" OLED 4K tv and was blown away by the image quality. Other features I really like are the remote control that lets you perform most functions including taking photos and video, dual gooseneck LED lights and backlit slide viewer. And you can record video and photos onto the included 64GB microSD card. It even has a microphone for taking oral notes or perhaps record an instructional video for YouTube. I can recommend this microscope for all ages, kids on up to adults. I see this digital microscope being really useful working on circuit boards and electronics, examining coins and stamps or exploring the microscopic world of plants and insects with slides. A few sample slides are included in this kit. I'm wishing I still had the collection of slides I had growing up!If I'm going to nitpick, lowering and raising the microscope on the stand could be smoother. And navigating the menu system on the 10.1 screen isn't intuitive and takes some time to get used to.
