Lock&Lock features high quality plastic containers with nestable bodies to minimize space during storage. Our patented four-wing locking system hooks onto the lid to lock securely with the slightly raised lip around the container. With equal pressure being released on all four sides of the hollow silicone seal, it creates a unique system that ensures the greatest air and water tightness. Lock&Lock round is ideal for salad, fruit, vegetable storage, and much more. Moreover, it helps save money because it keeps food fresh for a long time compared to other storage containers. Have peace of mind with Zen style Lock&Lock, we operate with the principle of preserving the environment and humanity.

But I decided to take a chance on this, based on the good reviews. The L&L containers are very heavy duty, great quality. Size is a little bigger than my Rubbermaid but only by a few ounces, so this will work. No problem with the lid on/off (so why the rectangular container gave me fits, who knows?).
Reducing the rating by one star because storing that lid takes a lot of vertical space - 3-4x the height of standard stackable plastic container lids, due to those flaps. It's nice that it's no-leak, but I never had any problems with the standard containers leaking anyway. Because this is a one-off; e.g., the only one I have, it's awkward to store compared to my others which all stack neatly. But when you need it, you gotta have it.....
I really like how these lock tightly and seal in the freshness
