I found this is also great to comb into the hair gently if you have dry scalp after a hot shower, without stripping your hair the way acidic conditioners can. Again, it doesn't grease it up, and it absorbs into the scalp without leaving your hair looking dirty an hour later if you apply it lightly.
The gentle scent is almost nonexistent to me, but there is a natural, flowery smell that could turn some people off. It smells very slightly of almost a baby-fresh powder scent, but a coworker of mine didn't want to borrow it because of that, so I thought it worth mentioning.
THICK stuff. Finally, advice is that a little goes a LONG way. Use a quarter-inch squeeze, and it covers both hands and then some! I had this for a whole year, second bottle lasted over half a year when the year was very dry. And DO cut it open when you can't get any more out, as there is at least a week's light use hiding in there. ;D
My daughter has a similar problem and I decided to buy a tube for her. She used it after we left and loved it. Then she read the box. She has a life threatening allergy to tree nuts and immediately contacted me. She texted me the box with the sweet almond fruit extract circled. As I retired RN I was stunned that a company like L’Occitaine would FAIL to put an allergen warning label on this cream. I searched several scientific journals on the matter and yes, a person who has an allergy to Tree nuts SHOULD NOT use a product containing almond extract in any form, particularly when cuts in the skin can lead to a direct route to the blood. Even topical absorption is a bad idea. Our FDA should know better in the absence of corporate responsibility.
I will never trust another beauty product again without checking ALL ingredients first.
Then, one of my friends recommended Shea Butter. I had heard of it, but assumed it was just some fancy, expensive lotion that moms justify buying because it makes their hands smell nice. Like... up until now, I hadn't spent more than $5 on a hand lotion.
But... it works! My hands feel so much better now. The red pile of ash is reforming into human hands as I write this, and I know it was the Shea Butter's white magic. Thanks, Shea wizards!

So I used it myself. Having used this hand cream for many years I was surprised it had a different scent to usual (stronger but not as nice) and it doesn't seem to be have quite the same moisturising effect on the hands.
Normally, I would give the hand cream a full 5 out of 5, but this time, it's got to be only a 3.
