Color: Plush Plum Verified Purchase
I had read about these new Le Balm glosses, and, being the lipstick/lip balm junkie that I am, wanted to try them out. I'm cool and fair-toned with reddish-brown hair and plum colors generally look good with my complexion, so I thought I would get Plush Plum. I really like it! If you have cool tones to your skin, this color would look good on you.

These seem to me like L'Oreal's answer to Revlon's Lip Butters; this is a really soft, moisturizing balm that feels good on the lips. Unlike the Lip Butters, these also have an SPF of 15, which is something I generally look for in a balm. Sometimes lip balms with sunscreen can also have an icky sunscreen taste to them, but this one tastes like a normal lipstick does. It also has a nice consistency for summer.

The Plush Plum has the slightest amount of shimmer to it, but it's something that, as a forty-year-old woman, I'd still feel comfortable wearing to work. The color is light enough that you can apply it with no mirror, which is exactly what I was hoping it would be like; I like to have tinted balms that I can quickly grab out of my purse and apply without a mirror.

I really like this and see more in my future!

Color: Heavenly Berry Verified Purchase
My only experience with a product like this was with YSL Candy Volupte, which at $30.00 a pop, was not something I wanted to get addicted to. Having loved the texture and feel of their product on my lips, I knew I had to find an alternative.

So I decided to try this. When I first bought this product, I did not know what to expect. I had not yet broken into the realm of drugstore lip balm / lip gloss / lip stick hybrids so I didn't know what kind of coverage, texture or color to anticipate.

Sticky? Something opaque? Something creamy? Neither. And lucky for me too because I strongly dislike the feel of lipstick on my lips. The waxy, weirdness of it all, yuck.

Glossy? Oh, not that. The goopy, stickiness no one wants to touch. Looks great in photos but let's face it, most guys hate it. My hair strands hate it, too.

Lip balm? Something boring and unglamorous? Great.

This product found a way to be everything I love without being anything I hate! It isn't sticky, it isn't opaque and it isn't boring. It is sheer, pretty and Heavenly Berry is a great color. It doesn't have much of a scent and it lasts about as long as I need to.

Most importantly, it leaves my lips feeling supple and looking squishy without color and shine overload. It makes my lips look very soft and inviting because it looks so natural.

Since picking this product up, I have tried the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter (L'oreal's rival) and I have to stay that I am still torn on which one I prefer. I do know for sure that I love Heavenly Berry and so have my dates. Highly recommended! :)

Color: Caring Coral Verified Purchase
it's just not the same as the one i bought in the store. Color number it's the same, it has even same oroduct bar code, but the it's more a rouge than a balm. Not bad, but it has too much color pigment and it's too bright.

Color: Nourishing Nude
I have been looking for a product like this for 60 years! No kidding! Back in the 1950's the only thing I could find was Chapstick and a pot of Max Factor lip gloss. My lips have always been dry and I have tried several products over the years looking for a sheer color with a moisture type base. I recently found the Neutrogena lip gloss stick in a slender tube, but it is hard to find, I think I found it after it was discontinued. I saw a little write-up in a magazine about the L'Oreal Balm and picked up 4 tubes at Walmart for less than $6.00 each! I love the colors, the feel, the fragrance, the packaging and the price. What's more to love? 25 stars for this one!

Color: Heavenly Berry
I'm not really a lipstick kinda gal, but sometimes chapstick just isn't fancy enough. This is a great product! It's not greasy like lip glosses and I don't find my hair sticking to my lips when the breeze picks up. Fairly moisturising and leaves just enough pretty color to emphasize your lips. I'm addicted!

Color: Pink Satin
I purchased Le Balm in Pink Satin at my local drugstore because it was on sale at the time.

Packaging: The packaging is very pretty. The cap is clear and the base is gold. I think it looks more luxurious than the Revlon Lip Butters. The cap is also easier to grip and take off because of the taller base. When you put the cap back on, you have to line it up with the notch at the base (it's an interlocking cap) - this is a bit annoying, but not a deal breaker.

Fragrance: The Pink Satin has a sweet scent. It's not overpowering or overwhelming in any sense. I think it's a pleasant smell.

Color: I was underwhelmed by the color. Take L'Oreal's word, it "provides a HINT of color". Personally, I can barely see the pink on my lips. Even after 3 heavy applications, the color is hardly visible. This formula reminds me of YSL's VOLUPTÉ SHEER CANDY. If you want noticeable color, stick with REVLON Colorburst Lip Butter, Sugar Frosting, 0.09 Ounce or Burt's Bees Lip Balm, Tinted, Hibiscus.

Wear: I found this lip balm to be very long lasting. I live in Michigan where the winters are cold and dry. I applied this in the morning and it lasted until lunch time (about 3 hours) - my lips felt moderately hydrated by noon. My lips also retained a shiny look. This is because the formula is a slick and not as creamy as the Lip Butter.

Overall, I'd recommend this if you are looking for an SPF 15 Lip Balm with a tiny hint of color and lasting moisture. This would make a fun valentine's gift for your girl friends :)
